Question about Acer TravelMate 2300 Notebook
I have an acer laptop model CL51 ... the LCD lights for the battery and processor just flashes once and stand on but no booting up. no spining of the fan too.. whats wrong with my motherboard.. acn someone please giude me to happiness..
My initial thought would be that your battery will no longer hold a charge or that your power supply has gone bad. Try taking the battery out and booting the computer with JUST the charger. Any change? How about booting from the battery alone? Have you had any spills on or near it in the last 6 months? If it turns out to be a battery, you can buy them online for around $70. There seems to be an abundance of parts for this model acer. It definitely sounds power related though. If its not the battery or the power supply, my last guess would be the motherboard. Good luck and let me know if things change as your are testing it.
