My initial thought would be that your battery will no longer hold a charge or that your power supply has gone bad. Try taking the battery out and booting the computer with JUST the charger. Any change? How about booting from the battery alone? Have you had any spills on or near it in the last 6 months? If it turns out to be a battery, you can buy them online for around $70. There seems to be an abundance of parts for this model acer. It definitely sounds power related though. If its not the battery or the power supply, my last guess would be the motherboard. Good luck and let me know if things change as your are testing it.

I found a motherboard exchange online for $364 but you'll have to take your laptop apart and remove the motherboard. Then ship the damaged motherboard to the exchange place and let them ship you a new one. The question is... is $364 worth saving your laptop? There are several new laptops not too far from this price-wise. Depending on how much you "LOVE" your CL51, you may want to salvage it but in todays electronics world everything is fairly disposable. (unfortunately). If you choose to replace the motherboard, as a matter of isolating the problem, I would remove all but the minimal ram and try and boot it (althought I seriously doubt that is the problem.) If you have a spare hard drive laying around you can try a swap but again I doubt thats the problem. What is DOES sound like to me is the power control section of the motherboard. That particular laptop looks like it is a little older, so one option might be to save the $364, sell it on ebay as-is, and put your money toward a new laptop. Once you buy one, you can get a very reliable warranty from squaretrade.com for a few dollars. Then, next time something happens you will be covered. Either way, you can replace the motherboard or the whole laptop.
I will be happy to continue to answer any questions you may have.... Just post here.

Either the boot record is corrupted or the drive is bad. You will need to reinstall the OS with your OS cd or restore your system to factory setting.

Do you have it on a power strip? if so try resitting it,if the battery is at full charge then you have an internal problem in the laptop itself.Bad power board, etc.Hope this helps.

Travemate C110. I replaced the hinge which was broken. To do this I had to disconnect the screen. I reconnected but I don't have any light on the screen. I can see the faint outline of the Windows...

Either the inverter board is dead (cheap to replace) or the backlight built in to the lcd is dead. The inverter board is inside the plastic bezel (frame) of the lcd panel. It is located at the bottom centre. Take the display apart and disconnect and reconnect the 2 inverter board connectors. It's the only circuit board inside the lcd panel, so you can't miss it. If this doesn't work, maybe try a new inverter board from acer (if still in stock) or connect the laptop to an external monitor and use it as a stationary pc.

My laptop Acer TravelMate CL51-15 doen't start up. the message is ''no boot divice found'' and i can't open my bios for configuration

first of all, you must find a way to get in the BIOS. You can google search ACER TRAVELMATE CL51-15 BIOS updater. ensure that the laptop is connected to the charger befre you do any BIOS update. then you should be able to detect the hard drive and install you desired OS.

Did you press F8 as you boot up to get boot up options and did try the Last Known good Configuration and Safe Mode?
If these didn't work I suggest you re-install Windows.
