Question about Technics SL-MC7 110-Disc CD Changer
Our cd changer will not respond at all. The blue back light is on and the display reads OFF with two bars blinking above that. I can't find anything to fix it so far - please help. Thank you!

this is a standard plug you should be able to get from radio shack or other electronic stores. just take a picture of where the connection is on the unit with your mobile phone and show it to the sales person. cheers, mark

The problem is likely the carriage drive belt. The player is well over 10 years old so the belt gets stretched with use. Then it is unable to transfer power for moving mechanisms.
If you feel comfortable about opening the cover using proper electrical safety procedures then you can observe what the carriage is doing upon turn on. Unplug the player, remove the cover by unscrewing four fasteners (I think, but you can easily figure it out), plug in and power up. The carriage should go through a positioning calibration and disk checking sequence (simply, it moves out of the home position, travels across the player and repositions itself to await front panel input).
Yours probably doesn't so look at the belt on the top of the carriage. If it is off the drive wheels, remove electrical power, then simply put it back on, power up, and recheck.
If the belt is spinning on the wheels and seems loose then it needs replaced. Fortunately, here is an inexpensive and attainable replacement courtesy of another FixYa poster
Also, a clean up and lube of the mechanisms would be a good thing to do. That takes some technical know how to clean without damaging and applying the correct lube in the right amounts to the appropriate mechanism components. Some general references are available in electronic service books or online. I should probably launch a site!
Otherwise, without knowing the conditon of other components in the drive assemply, a service manual is required to proceed with further troubleshooting specifically for the player.
Hope that the K.I.S.S. approach helps you enjoy your player again.
