Make sure you are in areas that have a strong wi-fi connection and make sure the settings for safari are correct

Ipod touch screen is unresponsive but it makes sounds like normal

Fix an Unresponsive Ipod Screen
Many of today's electronic devices including cell phones, music players and portable game systems have a touch screen.
When a touch screen fails, it does not respond when you tap it with your finger or a stylus.
This can happen due to several reasons, such as a screen protector, dust or improper calibration.
You can often fix an unresponsive touch screen by cleaning it or resetting the device.
Remove the plastic touch screen protector sheet.
Some protector sheets are too thick and prevent the touch screen from responding to your touch. If you must use a protector screen, only use one that is licensed for your specific device.
Wipe the screen with a soft microfiber cloth.
Clean off any dirt, dust or fingerprints on the screen.

Dry your hands thoroughly.
The touch screen will not respond if your hands are wet.
Reset the device.
If your device does not have a "Reset" button, remove the battery, memory card or SIM card, then reinstall them.

Delete any third-party applications you recently installed.
Some third-party applications can cause your device to lock up or freeze.

Recalibrate the touch screen.
Look in the device's Settings menu for a calibration option and follow the prompts.

If this fails to fix the problem
Press the "On/Off-Sleep/Wake" button and hold it for a few seconds, until a red slider appears. Press the "Home" button until the frozen app quits.
If this doesn't work, you can try restarting the iPod touch.
Press the "On/Off-Sleep/Wake" button if you need to restart the iPod touch, and hold it until the red slider appears on the screen.
Slide your finger over the slider to turn off the device.
Press the "On/Off-Sleep/Wake" button and hold it until the iPod touch turns back on.
If you can't turn off the iPod touch, you can try resetting it.
Press the "On/Off-Sleep/Wake" button while simultaneously pressing the "Home" button when you want to reset the iPod touch, and continue to hold the buttons for at least 10 seconds, until the screen goes black and the Apple logo appears.

Why does it take so long to download the ipad software

If it is the iOS software from what I understand the ipad verifies the ipad with the apple servers this can take sometime depending upon the number of users trying to access the server at the same time. Quite unusual I know but when iOS 5 came out I had to wait about an hour and half with many time-outs before I managed to get the software.

How do I get rid of error 404 on my ipod touch?

Hi, The 404 or Not Found error message is a HTTP standard response code indicating that the client was able to communicate with the server but either the server could not find what was requested, or it was configured not to fulfill the request and not reveal the reason why. 404 errors should not be confused with "server not found" or similar errors, in which a connection to the destination server cannot be made at all.

error 404 comes most times when the client ison able to connect to the server...or the site is not accessible..

Not really a problem with your ipod, but with your internet browser...

Take care.

Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding

this happens from time to time the server you may be accessing is taking to long to respond (litterally) and there is a time out when safari gives up. try rebooting ipod or get closer to the connection i suggest installing opera or another browser i think they now have fire fox or chrome. much faster connection let me know if this helps love positive feedback! and comments lol

Dear,
Hotmail is nowadays still not supported by Apple. Well you can get hotmail to work but you need to jailbreak your ipod for it. Which is a long process. Kind regards

Itouch says safari has stopped because the server has stopped responding problem

So you have connection issue from your iPod Touch?

Try this:
1. Turn off your wifi connection from the iPod touch.
2. Try to reconnect to the Access Point (AP) again.
3. If this not solve your problem, make sure that you have internet connection.

May this help! PM me if there's another questions.

Wi-fi connection

I had exactly the same problem with a brand new 3rd gen iTouch. It showed it was connected to the network but wouldn't access anything (invalid argument etc). I tried everything but no joy. Eventually I fixed it by changing the router's encryption from WEP to WPA2-PSK. Fixed it like magic. Where there had been no router or DNA data before, they were suddenly filled in. The key was different but was still on the bottom of the router. I had to re-enter the key on my wireless laptop2_bing.gif but that was a small price.

You can get into the router set-up page through your web browser. I found a guide on You Tube.

Good luck!
