Connecting compressor and equalizer to pmp5000

Use a two channel INSERT SNAKE. Plug the TRS connector for each channel into the INSERT jack for the mains in the area above the effects unit. Plug the TIP of each channel of the snake into the input of your effects unit and the RING plug into the output of your effects. The snake has ONE TRS connector and TWO TS connectors per channel.

Dbx 231 will not turn on. No power

Assuming the cord is well seated and has power, the power supply has likely failed. Take it in for repair or repair yourself. The power supply is VERY simple. Here is a schematic close to your unit:

http://elektrotanya.com/dbx_3231l_eq_sch.pdf/download.html

The power supply is on page 15 and consists of a simple bridge rectifier, filter and two three terminal regulators that generate +/- 15 volts. Any competent electronics person should be able to repair this.

Where can i buy a spare fuse (T100mAL/250v) ?

Buying one is no problem BUT you should NOT have to replace it unless there is a failure within the unit. If there is a failure and you keep replacing it, you MAY be doing further damage within the unit.

You can get fuses from Digikey.com and others.

I am keyboard player and i want hook up an equalizer to the system where do i hook it up to

If you're only using the keyboard, connect the keyboard output to the EQ input, and EQ output to your amp.

If you have multiple instruments and a mixer, run mixer output to EQ input, EQ output to amp.

More info, let me know.
