Make sure there is 240V at the electrical outlet.
Check the thermal fuse, PTS (push to start) switch, drive motor and timer.
If these are ok, please let me know and I will try to help.
Good luck!

Dryer not powering/turning on

Investigate these areas if your dryer is not starting: Proper Voltage from the House Your dryer may not be receiving adequate voltage to start. Make sure your dryer is plugged in. Also, check the circuit breaker panel to make sure all the circuit breakers are in the correct positions. Or check to make sure no fuses in the fuse panel are blown. Try plugging something else into the same outlet. If it won't work either, then there is likely something wrong with the power outlet. Any of these could be the reason power is not getting to your dryer. Also, refrain from using an extension cord to plug your dryer in. Door Switch If your dryer's door switch is defective, it will not allow your dryer to start. Test your dryer's door switch. If it is defective, replace it. Start Switch A dryer cannot start if its start switch is defective. Test your dryer's start switch. If it is defective, you will have to replace it for your dryer to start again. Thermal Fuse A thermal fuse is a heat-sensitive fuse attached to your dryer's exhaust duct (in most models) that is designed to blow if the dryer overheats. A blown fuse would cause your dryer to not heat, or to not work at all. Open up your dryer's cabinet and locate its thermal fuse. Test the component. If it has blown, replace it. Thermostat A defective dryer thermostat could be what is preventing your dryer from starting. Open up your dryer's cabinet. Test each of your dryer's thermostats. Replace any that have become defective. Timer Motor Your dryer's timer will not function properly if its motor is malfunctioning. Open up your dryer's cabinet and locate its motor. Test the component. If it is not functioning as it should, replace either the motor itself, or the entire timer assembly. Motor A burned out motor could be what is keeping your dryer from starting. Test your dryer's motor and if it is defective, replace it. You will have to open your dryer in order to gain access to its motor. Dryer wont start

If the problem you are having is that your Maytag gas dryer is not starting, these are the parts you will need to check until you find and correct the problem.

You need to make sure that the wall outlet has 120 volts presents in it, in order for the dryer to be able to start. Connect a good working hair dryer in the wall outlet, if the hair dryer works, then you know that the wall outlet is not the problem.

Most gas dryers have one thermal fuse and some have two thermal fuses wired in series with the motor. If any of the thermal fuses are blown that could be one of the reasons of your dryer not starting.

The timer is the distribution center in the dryer, the timer will send the right voltage to each of the individual parts in the dryer. Most common problem with the timer, is burnt contacts.

The motor is in charge of turning the tumbler, turning the blower to circulate hot air inside of the dryer and making sure that the heating element won't come on when the dryer motor is not running. A bad or weak motor could be the reason for your Maytag gas dryer not starting.

The door switch is a safety device use to prevent the dryer motor from starting or running when the door in the dryer is open. Burnt contacts or a broken actuator on the switch could be the reason that the dryer is not starting.

The push to start switch is single pole single throw switch that is use to start the motor. Once the motor starts running the switch is no longer in the motor circuit. A bad push to start switch could be the cause of your dryer not starting.

Burnt terminals or wires on the cord could be the reason for your dryer not starting.

As you can see, if any one of these parts fails the dryer will not start.
please comment on these post by staying how helpful.
