I have a fixed image in the middle of my screen. The one to increase/decrease the volume. I cannot close it, I cannot move it, and the mouse has not access to it. I do not know if it is linked but...

Well, it certainly is related. This is OSD (On Screen Display) for adjustment, activated by those pushbuttons.
Did you try to completely unplug the power cable from the monitor for a minute and then reattaching it?
One of those pushbuttons may have got stuck in a depressed position, check if all of them click properly when pressed; sweet drinks spilled and dried off can make a button stick, and sometimes the plastic itself may develop enough friction for a button to stay in a depressed position.

If all the buttons work freely, the monitor may need professional servicing.

This is Screen problem not of the operating system. You not indicated that either you asking for screen problem of monitor or laptop screen. However if monitor look at the front there should be some screen adjustment/control button, adjust the screen from them. AND if using laptop the same button can also located.

Try using the 'degauss' option of your monitor. It should be in the on screen menu, or possibly a reserved button for it. If not, you may have the options in your menu for the monitor to adjust the shape of the screen manually, you'll just have to go through the menues carefully using the various buttons on your monitor. If nothing fixes it, I would just replace the unit, as repairing it would likely cost more than buying a new one.

Sure you can... just go to your toolbars bottom R/H side and look for a Graphic Card settings for example ( Nvidia or ATI settings) Then right click and look for a rotation settings from there just followed the settings... To adjust the display, open your on screen display on your LCD monitor and look for Auto Adjust by using (- +) buttons... Have a nice day!

Onscreen controls don't respond

You have five buttons at thee right-hand bottom of your screen (just under thee edge). They are (from
left to right) the Main Menu button, the Down button, the Up button, the Input button and the Power
button (under the light).

To adjust your screen press the main menu button. Once the main menu screen is up, toggle
through it using the Up/Down buttons. Once you see what you want to adjust, move over to the
right side of the menu by pressing the Input button. Now use your Up/Down buttons to highlight
what you want to change. Once it is highlighted, press the "Input" button again. Now use the
Up/Down buttons to adjust your settings.

Once you have adjusted the settings, simply press the main menu button to exit.

Display problem

the adjustment box for colour, brightness and contrast stays fixed on the screen. i tried pressing the exit button.... after a few times it disappears only to reappear within a few minutes. also the auto adjustment option, for which we are supposed to manually press the i button, keeps auto adjusting the screen whenever it feels like it. the box appears right in middle of the screen and is a real nuisance as it blocks out the main portion.
