The Designjet 500 did not have a direct memory upgrade slot. You will have to purchase a HPGL2 (formatter) card first. This then has a memory slot on it for further upgrades. The plotter had 32Mb memory on board, the card another 32Mb and then you can upgrade by a further 64Mb (waste of money) or the best is 128Mb. This is then added to your original Ram giving you approx 164Mb which is then normally more than enough. The HPGL2 (formatter) card is sold by any HP supplier on order only. Part number is C7772A. Standing in front of the plotter its located in the left side at the back. Look behind the left cover and you will see a small cover in a sort of L shape near where the roll holder slots in, thats it, slip the small cover open (you will see an arrow on it showing how to open it), look if there are any additional cards in the machine, if not it means you still need to buy the card, otherwise you will simply need the RAM.

Intel Pentium processor or Intel Pentium with MMX technology, and max frequency rate ('Speed') is 200Megahertz. (200MHz)
Woo-hoo!

Two ram memory slots.
EACH slot can hold a maximum amount of ram memory -> 64MB

TOTAL ram memory amount for motherboard is 128MB (Woo-hoo!)

Ram memory is SDR Sdram. Commonly, but mistakenly, just referred to as Sdram.

Has 168 gold plated contact pins. 84 on each side.
Two Locating Notches on the bottom of the ram memory module.
(Two Side Notches. One on each side)

I don't know if you can just use a 128MB ram memory module ('Stick'), in ram memory Slot 1, or not.
Me?
I would try it. May have to reboot up to 4 times for BIOS to recognize the ram memory. May NOT have to.

You have a D.I.P. switch on the motherboard. SW1
Has 4 dip switches, numbered 1 through 4.
The positioning, (ON or OFF), determines the 'speed' support for the Processor.

My problum is when i attached ram 1 gb after its system restart and show belue screen and i sure my rem is ok tell me what is problum here????

A) FixYa T.O.S. (Terms of Service) states to NOT post your email address.
The TOS is read when you join.

B) How about posting the MOTHERBOARD manufacturer name, and Model Number?

Also post what ram memory ,manufacturer, and manufacturer code on the ram memory module.

Ram Memory HAS to be in Slot 1. (May state DIMM 1 next to the ram memory slot. Can also be Slot 0, or DIMM 0 )

Slot 1 is the ram memory slot nearest the Processor.
A Processor reads ram memory Slot 1 first.

Do you know;

1) What is the Maximum TOTAL Amount of ram memory, for the motherboard?

2) What is the Maximum Amount for EACH ram memory slot?

3) What type of ram memory is supported?

For an example;
Can it use DDR Sdram at either 333MegaHertz, or 400MHz?
(PC2700 and PC3200, respectively)

4) What ram memory slots have you put ram memory in?

Post back in a Comment.

The top ram slot on my dell dimesions 3100 dosent seem to work. I swaped around the ram cards and both boot up on lower slot but not on top one? Any help? Thanks

Depends on what memory you are using. I don't know any reason that two slots would work and not the other two. Be sure you are using memory sticks that are compatible with each other. Sometimes memory from different manufacturers are not compatible.
Your slots will take up to 1GB each for a total of 4GB.
It takes speeds of 400 MHz and 533 MHz DDR2 sticks.

3 Beeping Repeatedly/Continuesly that meaning if :
Failure in a base memory 64K
Base memory 64K is 64 KB first Memory at RAM.
This failure can be because the Slot Dirty,or Pin at RAM dirty,or can be the one of Chip at the RAM is damage.
The Solution is :
1.Remove RAM and Cleanup Pin at RAM,
2.Cleanup Slot RAM at MotherBoard.
3.change RAM.

Problems with new ram

This = NO

The Foxconn P4M800P7MB-RS2H motherboard supports ram memory that is either 400MegaHertz, or 533MHz.

You have installed 667MHz ram memory.

http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/3274794/-/Product.html

You also need to watch the Front Side Bus (FSB) of the processor you are using.

Ram memory typically operates at HALF of the FSB of the Processor.

Processor FSB support is 800MHz maximum.
Half of that is 400MHz.
You CAN use 533MHz ram memory, however.

(This is DDR2 Sdram ram memory.
PC2-3200 is DDR2 at 400MHz.
PC2-4200 is DDR2 at 533MHz. (Also known as PC2-4300. Depends on the ram memory manufacturer.

PC2-3200 actually operates at 200MHz. { Max} It is 'Dual Pumped'
PC2-4200 actually operates at 266MHz )

What to do?
Hopefully you saved the carton/s the ram memory came in.
Ship them back, get the ram memory you need.

ALSO;

What is the FSB of the Processor you have installed?
Don't know?
Post back in a Comment as to the model name, and model number.

(Example; Intel Pentium D model 805,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Intel_Pentium_D_microprocessors#.22Smithfield.22_.2890_nm.29

FSB support is 533MHz
No, you cannot use 533MHz ram memory. { PC2-4200 }
PC2-3200 is the max.

Pentium D model 820 for example, you can )

I have a lap top Dell Precision M20 and replaced the old ram from the slot below the keyboard with 512 MB by a new with 1GB. It worked fine! Since I bought two times 1GB, I inserted also the second in the...

these different ram slots have different bus speed so they really don't work if you are using them both at once.

Please check your laptop's documentation about the speeds of these ram slots.

Changing the ram in my toshiba stellite a45 laptop

I don’t have a diagram for upgrading memory in this particular model, but it’s very easy. You can access both memory slots from the bottom of the laptop if you remove the memory cover. The cover is located in the middle, right beside the fans. All you have to do is remove 2 screws and remove the cover. I believe Satellite P15 memory is expandable to 2GB in both slots (Slot A + Slot B = 2GB) and you can use PC2100 DDR RAM, PC2700 memory should work too (it will run at PC2100 speed).

Check the laptop specifications before you buy new RAM module. I just discovered that different Satellite P15 models use different memory types. For example, according to Toshiba specifications Satellite P15-S409 uses PC2100 DDR memory, but Toshiba Satellite P15-S479 uses PC2700 DDR memory (I think it might be a typo, but not really sure).

2 gigs of ram

Re-check your manual at pg. 1-12. 1.9.1 Memory Configurations.
Since you know one bank of memory works fine in a certain slot. Now try the other in the same slot.
