Question about Sony Network Walkman NW-E005 MP3 Player

1 Answer

When I try to play videos that I transferred to my Sony MP3 player I get a message that the format cannot be played. I only copied and pasted the files and did not use Sonicstage. Perhaps I need to install the disc and use Sonicstage to transfer videos, and MP3 songs, to my player. Will this fix the problem? The video files were PSP that I downloaded.

File Error

Rip the songs in Windows Media Player in mp3 format. Run the mouse over the Rip tab, click on the black arrow, select Format, then mp3. The DRM license on the WMA's is going to mess you up every time.

Transfer videos to my sony nwz-s616f

Firstly; is it in the right format? You say MP4, but the video needs to be specifically MP4 - 320x240 screen resolution. It won't play if the resolution is incorrect.

So get that fixed up first if that's what's wrong (http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/ has a great program to convert videos to MP4). If not, sometimes my computer doesn't allow me to put files on it one way, but it will another, so try copy/paste instead of drop and drag. Hope that helps.

1. dwl sonicStage (free)
2.- in the walkman went to menu/initialize/format
then displayed a confirmation screen, I confirmed
it displayed "formating...... COMPLETE"
3.- THEN plugged into the PC and transfered songs with Sonic
