Question about IBM ThinkPad T40 2373 Notebook
Remove the memory modules, the optical drive, the main battery, any daughter cards, hard drive and remove the charger. Wait at least 30 seconds, reinstall the removed components & try to boot the machine. If still not successful, try swapping each component out with a known good one if possible. Try reinstalling one memory module at a time. Good luck.

Check the RAM in you computer. When the RAM goes bad, the first reaction is not to boot.
