Hi,

My name is ArmyMason, I am here to assist you. Basically you have like 6 wires that need to be plugged in and you are having a difficult time figuring out which one goes were right. Well here is a picture of a typical setup http://attachments.techguy.org/attachments/106975d1180329228/front-panel.gif I would play with that until everything seems to work correctly

Hope that helps,

this may caused by hard disk problem. first remove (disconnect) hard disk. then try to enter bios setup. if the problem persist, find a jumper clip named 'bios reset' in mother board near front panel connectors. the default jumper position is 1and 2. now change the clip into 2and3 - power on - wait 5 seconds - power off - reset jumper to 1and2- thats all connect hard disk- check again the bios setting.

Sounds like an un-seated video cable. Try an external monitor. If it doesn't display on an external monitor, the the system board is likely defective. Otherwise, you'll need to locate the video cable and reconnect them to the board.

I have toshiba equium a100-338 and the power button will not work

The cable (Wire) stays attached to the Power Button Board,

No, I'm wrong? The Flat Flex Cable (FFC) does come out of a ZIF connector on the Power Button Board?
You may wind up buying the Power Button Board, and Flat Flex Cable, then.

Or you may find a 'Mom and Pop' computer store, that can repair the cable.

How can i reset the bios on a toshiba equium a60-155

Warning: Before you proceed , make sure that you know how to do this .

The best way to reset the bios and for you to make sure
the bios will be reset since your having a problem all you need is to do is to follow the procedure below.

Just to make it short , you need to remove all hardware that is connected from the motherboard carefuly

Once you remove all harware and cables/wires connected from the motherboard the last thing that you will do is to remove the processor

Just to be sure wait for about a minute before you put back the cpu .

Then put back all together where it was before .

Problem with Toshiba Equium Laptop which is switching itself off. even when connected to mains supply Is this a problem with the switch or power supply? Hope you can help thanks

If the laptop shuts down and won't boot up straight away, then the problem could be an overheating CPU problem. It could be a faulty fan and/or the fan and heatsink assembly is clogged with dust.
Check the fan and if it has stopped spinning then replace it and if the fan and heatsink is clogged with dust, loosen the dust and remove it.

Wiring problem

It's usually underneath the motherboard, but just look around if you don't see it on the top of the motherboard just extend the wire as far as it will go and look around there. It can't be further away then the length of the wire.
