Frigidaire affinity atf6000es1 - control panel locked

The lights come on but the control panel is "locked". It shows PAU and 55 and eERR, if I try to press any buttons. I beleive my 18 month child initiated this lock out by playing "press buttons"

I have been told to "Disabled door switch to reset board ". How do I do that?

I fixed this myself thanks to a solution by Mr JP Fixit and it only took about 3 minutes and saved $100 service call. The problem is the door latch needs to be reset, which requires unplugging it's three idiot proof plastic electrical connections (there are only three and they are all different colors). This has to be done inside the washer big rubber outer seal (the big rubber seal you see as you put clothes in the washer), but it is easy to get to. First remove the outer ring that holds the seal on (the thin metal ring is hidden in the groove and can be pulled out with a flat screw driver. Next remove only the side of the seal closest to the door latch (again only the outer seal needs to be undone). With this done remove the two screws holding the door latch in place. Remove the latch, unplug the three connectors, plug them back in then reassemble everything. When all is back in place hit "cancel" and it should be good to go.

Try buttons "dry" & "spin" together for a few seconds. This is the child lock display.

Or press "end of cycle" for over 3 seconds.

Or press "options & select" till the light goes off.

Works for other machines hope it may for you..............And please rate me if helped

ATF8000FS1 washer is stuck in pause. Any suggestions?

Hi friend, thanks for your inquiry!

If your washer continues to display an error code of "PAU" it could be an issue with your door lock but if the door strike is not sitting properly within the latch your washer will continue to provide the error code "PAU". Additionally, if your control panel is registering that the door is closed you may continue to experience the "PAU" code. I would recommend having a professional come and properly diagnosis your washer to prevent any unnecessary part purchases. I hope this is helpful. -OOS

Fridgidaire affinity washer Pau lights every time hit start

Did you check to see if the water outlet valves (that connect to the washer) are Good, Turned On and water comes out? Anyway you are not getting water into the machine either from that or you have 2 (Hot and Cold) water inlet valves are bad (very rare for both to fail). The fault code is usually "PU", not PAU!

Frigidaire washer model ATF6000ES1 door not locking, the door closes, but it's not recognized by control panel.

You are having a problem with the door latch sensor indicating everything is connected correctly. Check to make sure your door is not sagging and then make sure the door latch is not broken or cracked.

Won't start led read pau then 45

Hi!!
The error code 45 means control board communications problem. And Pau shows when the cycle was interrupted, try disconnecting the unit form the wall outlet, wait for about 10 secs. and plug it back in. If this do not clear the error code. Replace Board.
Good Luck!! A HELPFUL - 4 THUMBS - rating for this solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for using FixYa.

Dryer shuts off, no heat, AD code

During normal operation, the display may show: “ad” - dryer is in an auto dry cycle. “dn” - cycle is done in auto dry. “PF” - a power failure to the board has occurred. “Err” - an error has been detected. “LOC” - control lock is activated. “PAU” - cycle has been interrupted.
