How do i take a photo using my a4tech PK-7MA web camera?? Please help me!!!

You will have to use an external program such as "Windows movie maker" or any other external program that will support your camera and allow you to take a photo.

If you have a windows computer go to Start>Programs>Windows Movie maker and you can take a photo from there.

Hope this helps! Please rate my answer :) Thanks!

I have a cable from my jvc gr-d728ek to a usb i have not used camcorder before on computer and it does not recognise it what do i need to do

You need to connect via i-link or firewire.

Which means your pc needs either an i-link or firewire card. I'd go for I-link nowadays its a bit quicker.

Here's a link to the JVC website FAQ page:-

how to use windows movie maker with a webcam. Once you recorded what it is you want, then you would locate the file and upload to youtube. I believe there is a 10min maximum video length if you are not a youtube director.

Is there a way to set a timer on the webcam camera?

You can use Windows Movie Maker. Go to Start - All Programs - Windows Movie Maker and then at the top click on Tasks on the left side click on Capture from video device and then select your audio and video input. Follow the video capture wizard and at some point you can set the Capture time limit. Hope that helps.

Unfortunately Microsoft removed web cam support from Live Movie Maker unlike Windows Movie Maker that did support web cam captures

Try connecting to another USB port preferably to the back of pc not through any hub. Uninstall and then reinstall camera driver carefully following procedure in the accompanying manual.

Web cam audio problem

I totally uninstalled the software included with the webcam. I use Windows Movie Maker (included in Windows XP).

Be sure that after you plug in the cam and open Windows Movie maker that you select "Capture from video device" on the left had side. Your camera should come up in a setup window. If you are using the built in camera mic, select that in "audio device" window.

If you are using a mic connected to your PC, that option should be there, also.

In either case, after choosing the audio device, be sure the input level slider to the left is set high enough to pick up your voice.

'Hope this helped. Good luck.

Mic not working

Check that your mic is not dissabled in the volume properties, but also check that your instant messenger is set to recognise sound and audio. The best thing to do is to try recording a short video in windows movie maker 2 to check the cam is working ok

just make sure that the audio is enabled and set up correctly in Windows Live if thats what you are using. I find it's better to make a short video in Windows Movie Maker to test the camera first, then you know it's a software poblem if it's working
