how to use windows movie maker with a webcam. Once you recorded what it is you want, then you would locate the file and upload to youtube. I believe there is a 10min maximum video length if you are not a youtube director.
You can use Windows Movie Maker. Go to Start - All Programs - Windows Movie Maker and then at the top click on Tasks on the left side click on Capture from video device and then select your audio and video input. Follow the video capture wizard and at some point you can set the Capture time limit. Hope that helps.
I totally uninstalled the software included with the webcam. I use Windows Movie Maker (included in Windows XP).
Be sure that after you plug in the cam and open Windows Movie maker that you select "Capture from video device" on the left had side. Your camera should come up in a setup window. If you are using the built in camera mic, select that in "audio device" window.
If you are using a mic connected to your PC, that option should be there, also.
In either case, after choosing the audio device, be sure the input level slider to the left is set high enough to pick up your voice.
Check that your mic is not dissabled in the volume properties, but also check that your instant messenger is set to recognise sound and audio.
The best thing to do is to try recording a short video in windows movie maker 2 to check the cam is working ok
just make sure that the audio is enabled and set up correctly in Windows Live if thats what you are using.
I find it's better to make a short video in Windows Movie Maker to test the camera first, then you know it's a software poblem if it's working
