many times this standby/power light blinks at one time switch ON? Count it carefully. These blinks are fault indication, and known
as blinking codes. From the number of
blinks occur at one time switch ON; you can get an idea about the faulty
circuit stage inside the TV. This will
make repair easy. For more information, check the link http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ google.com/+GopakumarGopalan
Make sure that the lamp door cover is properly seat-in. It has a safety switch that will engage to the lamp door cover. If the lamp door cover is not properly seat-in this switch will be on open position that will trigger the symptoms.
If it was blinking like it was, it's probably either a bad lamp or a faulty install. Try re-installing the housing of the lamp in the T.V. if you're sure you didn't over tighten or under tighten the screws on the lamp. These are all simple things to check before you send back the potentially bad lamp.
Hi,no reset, Just make sure the Box (Lamp Enclosure) is pushed in firmly on both sides, left and right. Left side to hit the power connection and Right side to hit the little relay switch, Must be flush against that back side. it happened to me and I was kicking myself in the ***, a entire weekend went by with a brand new lamp sitting in the enclosure but not completely set in correctly with a flashing red light.
Also get the outside lamp cover in just right where it touches the sensor and sits flush. That's what helped for me.
My television had two red lights flashing, one for Temp and the other for the lamp. I removed mythe lamp assembly and the bulb filament was burnt out. I order a new lamp and housing unit UX21517 and replaced it and now I have the red light flashing which is calling out the lamp again.
There are safety interlocks on the door and lamp. Try reseating the lamp and carefully reseating the access door(s). If either is not exactly correct, the unit will not turn on. Check any of the access doors including in the area of the fan.
If it still fails, update this and I'll research your specific model. Please note that the blinking light is a code that should be listed in the owners manual. That code will tell you which interlock is not set so you know where to look.
