SOURCE: water inside of refrigerator running down into bottom, right draw

tHE MOST COMMON PROBLEM IS THAT THE DEFROST DRAIN BLOCKS UP AND CAUSES THE DERFOST MOISTURE TO OVERFLOW INTO THE REF SECTION. TO REMEDY THE PROBLEM YOU COULD LEAVE THE UNIT OFF FOR 24 HOURS AND THE ICE WILL MELT OUT AND FREE THE DRAIN, OR YOU COULD TAKE THE COVERS OFF AND REMOVE THE ICE AND TRY TO FORCE SOME VERY HOT WATER DOWN THE DRAIN WIT HA TURKEY BASTER. THE DRASIN IS LOCATED BEHIND THE EVAP COVER. OR YOU COULD CALL A SERVICE PERSON

SOURCE: vegetable draw is freezing the vegetables

if you pull out the vegetable drawer, you will notice a vent on the left side in the back. get some tape ( I use aluminum tape ) and cover the bottom half of the vent, that will help keep your vegetables from freezing. that should solve your problem. Joe

How do i get the kw capacity of a fridge freezer

Hi Wendy,
It isn't really a kw "capacity", but an expected draw. I take it you are concerned about the circuit capacity? Generally there is a data plate on the appliance that shows the maximum rated current which is what it will draw with all the compressors, motors, lights etc operating. If you have the amps you can calculate the power as you will know the voltage as well. I was prepared to offer this web site
Home Energy Magazine Database for Refrigerator Models and their Energy...

But you indicate you have already found the rating. If you check their rating methodology, you can probably tease out the KW from that.

Here is also a video that may be of use:

Wiring diagram?

Go to the mfg website and see if one is available to download. Go find a similar unit and take some color pixs if no book can be found. Good idea to draw a diagram and label wires before taking off if you are not familiar with unit.

The refrigrator tempreture is 56 degree and every time I reset it to 36 it comes out 56 degree. the refrigrator is very warm from inside the freezer is ok. what is the problem?

The best way to determine what has caused a non defrosting GE electronic control model is to first access the control board. Jump terminals line power to defrost, (J4 and J9). An amp probe should be placed on this jumper wire to determine current draw of the defrost circuit. A three amp draw is what is normal for this circuit. This will eliminate checking behind the evaporator cover to determine a defective heater or over temp device (defrost terminator). Note: This test is only to check the defrost circuit. It does not initiate a defrost cycle. If the unit is in any other cycle than defrost, that cycle will continue to operate as well.

first try putting controls in series with loads. Remember, loads consume power and switches pass power. Start here. If I had a copy of your drawings, I'd be in a better position to address your situation.

Fridge keeps blowing the breaker

Depending on what is causing the breaker to blow will be important to know. Refrigerators do draw a good bit of power on a 20 amp circuit especially when the refrigerator goes into defrost. Refrigerators are made to run on a 20 amp circuit without other machines or appliances using the same power circuit. Circuit breakers weaken over time too especially if they have more than they are. rated for plugged into the same circuit. And your circuit may be doing its job by detecting an excessive draw of power when the refrigerator is plugged in. You must have someone that knows electricity to inspect your refrigerator for shorting and the circuit it is plugged to for correct wiring for every ones safety. Thanks, Sea Breeze

We are not sure what electrical outlet is needed for the master bilt model blg-27hd

Hello I can help you. First of all here is a link to the owner manual in case you don't have one. In the manual you will see answers to all of your questions:

http://www.kclcutsheets.com/PDF/MB%5Cblg.pdf

Your model requires a dedicated 120 volt outlet with a 20 amp circuit breaker In other words, a regular outlet but not one that has lots of other appliances using that same circuit because, this refrigerator alone draws almost 15 amps of power.

Ground fault trips once turned on.

Either the receptical is wired wrong, or the line safety limit has been exceeded(example If you have a 20 amp breaker and the draw on that breaker exceeds 20 amps the breaker will trip.) You either have to put the refrigerator on a dedicated circuit or trace the circuit that it is on to see if the total load on that circuit is greater than the circuit limit. The simplest being , put the refrigerator on its own circuit.

Power draw on start up

When the compressor first starts up it can draw as high as 15 amps but for no more then a second or two. After that it should run at 1-1.5 amp and will draw less as it continues to run. After 10 minutes it should pull anywhere from .5-1 amps.
