pull out the racks and remove the bottom floor of the oven, turn it on bake,if the ignitor doesn't glow most likely it's bad,if it does glow and it doesn't ignite within 40 to 60 seconds the ignitor is bad.even though it glows doesn't mean it's good,it works by amps.it takes 3.2 amps.for a flat ignitor to open the gas valve and 2.5 amps for a round ignitor to open the gas valve.
Hi, When you put the oven on bake, can you see the ignitor glowing but get no flame? Sound like the ignitor might be getting weak and not opening the gas valve. Please let me know if this sounds like the problem. It is common for the ignitor to go bad. Even if it glows, it can be bad. Please let me know if I can assist you further.
Most likely the oven ignitor is bad or weak. You can look at it and see how it compares to the broil ignitor. If you see a whitish color on the ignitor and if it doesn't fully glow then it needs to be replaced.
This could be the ignitor. The ignitor is located under the bottom of your oven. you get to it from the inside of the oven.
A quick check though is to set the oven to bake and wait about 30 seconds and see if you can see a faint orange glow from the bottom inside of the oven. If you do then your ignitor is probably working ok and the problem lies somewhere else.
