I purchased the Porter Cable 20 piece accessory kit part A00438, and no idea on how to assemble this. No instructions included either. This is the kit that allows to put airpressure in your car, bikes, tires of all kinds.

I have checked 5 different sites and can find nothing, can you describe the kit to me and I will try and help. I think I already have an idea that it included some air fittings along with a tire chuck possibly a blow gun also but help me if this not correct. I will check a Porter Cable cataloog Monday and see if it is in there

First get some teflon thread tape, for applying 2 or 3 tightly wrapped turns around the male threaded quick-disconnect adapters, threaded end on your air hose and compressor before installation.
Note: remember that the female quick-disconnect adapter is also a check valve that will only release air when a male quick-disconnect adapter is inserted, i.e. do not install a  male quick-disconnect adapter directly to an air compressor outlet.
Note 2:Always remember to wear approved eye protection when operating air tools.
Start by installing the female quick-disconnect adapters on a male threaded end of the air hose and on to the outlet port on the air compressor tighten the connections with two open end wrench's. Then install the male quick-disconnect adapters to the other end of the hose, blow-gun tool, and the air chuck tool, (tighten as described above). The other implements in the kit (wire brush attachment, inflation needle, etc...) can be threaded in to the outlet port of the blow-gun as needed.
The operation of connecting  quick-disconnects are as follows: Grasp the tool in one hand, and with the other hand grasp the air line near the end leaving the thumb and fore finger free to operate the spring loaded outer release cylinder on the female quick-disconnect by pulling back on it. With the cylinder pulled back, insert the male quick-disconnect adapter in to the female quick-disconnect adapter, then release the thumb and fore finger from the outter release cylinder, thus locking the two together. check to be sure the lock has engaged by lightly pulling at the tool. Reversing this process will disengage the tool from the air line.
Hope this helps Good luck

First locate leak with a spray bottle filled with soapy water.Use Teflon tape on the threads so it will seal.Check all fittings. If there is water you need to drain it or blow it out.

My PC compressor buids 42 psi and continues to run without building more pressure or shutting off

Look for massive air leaks all around the machine including the safety 'blow-off' valve. The compressor diaphragm may have a hole in it. If this machine is new, return it to the dealer and get your money back or at least get it repaired under warranty. Good luck!

How long does it take for the compressor to fill up during the first use? The motor has been running for 15 min and the pressure needles have not moved....

If the machine is new, take it back to the dealer and get your money back or at least have them get it repaired under warranty. It would appear that the diaphragm has a hole in it or it has a missing valve assembly in the compressor itself. Have you checked around the machine for large air leaks? Check the safety 'blow-off' valve for any leakage? Look for missing tank plugs or a missing shut-off valve at the air exit point. Good luck!

Air leaks via the head so tank does not maintain pressure

The air leak you have described is probably from the unloader valve which may not be seating after it dumps cylinder pressure. If you can find a good manual for it, disassemble the unloader valve and check for contaminates or build up around the seat. The differential spring may have lost it's value also, in which case you will need to replace the unloader assembly.

Porter-cable compressor stops and restarts at about 60psi

You prolly have a leaky gasket in the main valve. Air is leaking and causeing it not to go about 60psi, you probably have it set to reach a high PSI but since the leak is not allowing it reach above 60 it keeps cycling trying to get above it

I have a stuck pressure valve. Does just the end

A pressure valve is not adjustable if you are trying to remove it for replacement it has standard threads. Clockwise to tighten and counter to loosing it. First though a pressure valve is the same as a relief valve it is for safety to keep from over loading you comperssor and blowing a head gasket or in extreme cases blowing up you tank. Be careful.

I would like to lower the cut in and cut off pressure for C2002Wk

If you have an owner's manual for this machine, it will show you how to adjust the cannister pressure to keep more available air, thus forcing the machine to kick on less times. I hope this helps.

Air leak after reaching 150 psi & shutting off

Everything I read in the owners manual suggest you take unit in for a trained service tech to repair. It could possibly be a few things causing this but from what I can see there are not that many replaceable repairable parts for this. Good luck
