I lost mine when I took it for servicing. A new one can be purchased for 170.00 plus tax at The Stitching Post in Centerville,Ohio. I'm still trying to find mine or one cheaper than 170.00

As I wrote earlier, I also needed one. I purchased one today from The Stitching Post. Located at 101 E. Alex Bell Rd. Suite 176 Dayton,Ohio 45459 937-436-9200. I was told 170.00 but when I got there they were $64.00 and I got half off so, with tax it was $34.24!!! Maybe you could call and have them mail you one with the use of a credit card. They are used but they no longer make these. Hope this helps.

Does the husqvarna viking quilt designer 11 sew straight stitches without using a card?

It is possible but it will only sew a straight stitch (more than likely a 2.5MM stitch length which is a common/standard length for straight stitching.

Stitch length not working and sticking in reverse

sounds like it needs servicing and cleaned. Suggest only using authorized husqvarna viking dealer for service. You can find your local dealer at the Husqvarna Viking website http://www.husqvarnaviking.com and selecting "dealers" link.

Looking for stitch cassettes for Viking 1+ -

Check with your local Husqvarna dealer. They are easy to save even if an old machine has been thrown away. Many dealers will have a supply of used cards.

Ordinary straight stitching/Husqvarna 2000 SL

ordinary straight stitching is normlly the first button (only one) in the stitch selection area. Look for symbol/picture showing a vertical broken line on the displays.

Ordinary straight stitching

When you turn on a #1 Husqvarna Viking the machine defaults all the electronic settings to do a straight stitch at a 2.5mm stitch length, that equates to approximately 10 stitches per inch. The top tension dial sets itself automatically and the only other dial is on the left side of the machine. That dial sets the pressure on the foot that holds down the fabric. It's normal setting is 6.

Size of stitch

Sounds like malfunction with the feeddogs or stitch length balance. Without thread or fabric, turn the handwheel and watch the feeddogs (the toothy looking things under the presser foot which moves the fabric as you sew). The amount of distance they move with each revolution of the handwheel determines the stitch length. Watch to see whether they move from front to back. It may be that they are worn out or that they are just too low to adequately move the fabric as you sew. Take to authorized Husqvarna Viking dealer for repair. This is not something that can be done by the owner. Check Husqvarna Viking website for dealer closest too you.

Husqvarna Prisma 980 decorative stitch cassettes don't work

Hi,
On that machine, the cassettes aren't actually computer chips. Each cassette has a little spot of white on a certain little area you must find (top right I'm pretty sure). Look in the machine at that point. There is a sensor that looks for that white spot, and as it identifies it, it changes stitches according to that cassette. Either the sensor is blocked, gone bad, or you can put a fresh coat of white paint on with white out. I hope this helps.

Viking #1+ cassette 'A' needed.

I purchased one today to replace the one I lost. I paid $34.24 including tax. I was told $170.00 plus tax but when I got there it was much less. The person on the phone was incorrect. Contact The Stitching Post 101 E. Alex Bell Rd.Suite 176 Dayton,Ohio 45459 phone 937-436-9200. Talk with the manager and/or service repair dept. You might also check with your local sewing machine repair stores to see if they have any extras to sell. These are used as they dont make these any more.
