    If you're having the same problem I am, then your on/off switch is fried. I have posted a question to try and find out how to replace myself or what the cost would be to have it done..

I know the belt number
Eureka Part Number: 61110B (Replaces 61110, 61110A)
And the roller i think: Genuine Eureka Brush roller part number 61250-3 for Eureka The Boss/Smart vac/smartvac ultra 4800 series vacuums including models 4870 and 4880

Replaced belt but isn't tight to turn roller


Are you sure that you have the right replacement belt? Here is a link to the belt you should have and the manual:

you cannot, it is all plastic and wears...use a small srew and tap it to body so it catches on plastic tab that is worn
