Question about Microsoft Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer
My old dell mouse was not working so I thru it out and have a friends wireless intellimouse explorer, downloaded intllipoint for vista, software drivers are there shows up in device manager, lights come on etc. no action. how do I check to see if all the usb ports are fine? not sure what caused the problem in the first place, touchpad on laptop works consistantly ok, no mouse input, reinstalled, restored, tima and time again...what is up?
I am assuming that the mouse has batteries installed in it and the CD was used to install the software program for the mouse.
Did you try Normal 0 Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it to Reset/Connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly.
If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch.
Hope this helps you. Bud

Recheck the magnifier to see if its set right.
Go to Control Panel and click on the Mouse icon. Then the mouse properties will appear showing the mouse buttons. In the Left column is the button settings. The bottom one is the Right Button, which is set for Magnify. Whenever you hit the Right Side button the magnifier will turn on. To turn it off, hit the Right Side Button and off it goes. You can change any of the button settings by clicking on the drop down.
Hope this helps. Bud

Sounds like you need to update your mouse's driver, you will find the intellimouse 6.3 driver for Windows XP at the link below "IntelliPoint 6.3 32-bit for Windows XP".
