You will probably find that the fuse blowing is due to door switch adjustments, most unit have 3 switches 2 on the door catches and one that is crowbar protection. the 2 door catch switches are normally closed with the door open and the crowbar is the opposite. if they do not change at the correct time when closing nthe door the fuse blows

Hi have a sanyo c1901 microwave and keeps blowing internal fuse could this be of the interlock switch on the door mech Thanks steve

UNPLUG UNIT !t and break out the VOM check to see if the Micro switches work as they should... N.O. or N.C. contact diagram on side of switch, but you have to remove it to see them.. also a shorted diode or transformer or the large capacitor can take out the fuse in a heartbeat ground out the cap before working on unit.. when it hits it hurts and you could cut yourself when you pull your hand out of the microwave really fast when it pops !

I used my sharp R-1821 convection microwave that night it did not work. outlet is lit up but display does not come on. Why?

More than likely it will be one of the three door switches. Also check the internal fuse in the unit. The fuse if blown is just a symptom, not the problem. It doesn't always blow out but the right combination of switches bad will take it out.

Mbbs 01 thermador micro oven: timer counts down, lights go on, but no heat, no fan and turntable does not turn. is it a fuse?

Key clue is table does not move---All microwaves with a table have a lever switch that is engaged when door closes--only can get at from inside the unit----it prevents the unit from operation if door not closed.

What happens from closing door a lot is the switch with a lever arm can come loose or even if snapped into a plastic holder break out of the holder.

IF this it is not too expensive a repair.

Microwave oven dead

Check the fuse in the microwave it is probably open, unplug and remove the top, follow the leads from the keyboard to the circuit board, look for a silver rectangular capacitor, short out the two pins to remove any high voltage, now look for a small fuse that is clipped in, pop it out and check if open, replace with same current rating. The door switches in most cases cause the fuse to blow, normally one switch is defective.

I have just got this microwave.. and it runs quietly and smooth.. but will not heat food or water. I exchanged the fuse and the big silver capacitor that was in my old microwave that was working, ( they...

There are three or four door switches that rely on catches to make them make or break contact. Are the switch actuators on the side of the door still OK? If they are then the magnetron is not coming on and may need replacing.
Hope this helps.

Door was not closing right so i was measing with the uper switch now i have lost all of the power to the microwave. Is the switch bad or did i break the entire thing

you messed up the safety interlok switch on the door by adjusting it, that is to blow the internal fuse in the event the door is opened during operation, you need to re-adjust the door safety interlok switch, then replace the fuse and you should be back on track and running

Microwave stopped working all of a sudden. NO power supply. I tried placing at different places. But no use..I ddidn't see any problem before it stopped working..

the most common problem with microwaves is the door protection circuit blows a fuse. the door catches operate switch that if they do not operate correctly( normally after the door has been slammed). the good part is they place the fuse inside the casing. so remove the power open the casing( several screws) and check all the fuses in side.

Microwave will not heat

Check the internal fuse. Unplug it, unscrew and take off the cover, the fuse should be easily found in the back by the power cord. It looks like a regular fuse but is white instead of clear glass because microwave fuses are special. You'll have to measure it with a meter as a result and be sure to replace it with the same kind. (try finding them at radio shack) Hopefully there isn't something more serious also. The high-voltage parts the (high-voltage capacitor and diode) are suspect. These parts start to break down due to the stress on them and draw more current. The excess current will usually make the transformer noisy until it gets to where it blows the fuse.
Hope ya fix it!
