The JAM DUPLEX message appears if you remove a sheet of paper from
the face down output tray after only one side has printed.
The paper sizes you can use with the duplex printing function
are A4, Letter or Legal. If the paper adjustment lever for duplex printing is not set
correctly for the paper size, paper jams may occur and the printing will
be out of position on the page.

Here's an article in the Lexmark website on Paper Jams and the Printer Displays a 'Check Duplex' or a '23x' Type Paper Jam Message: Lexmark T650, T652, T654, or X65x Series Printers. Just click on this link: http://bit.ly/aqGjtK. Read the instructions thoroughly. Hope this helps but if you need more assistance, don't hesitate to contact Lexmark Technical Support. Thanks.
This your problem.
13.10 PAPER JAM The event log message for a paper-delay jam in the duplexer is 13.10.
1. Check the duplexer and the rear area of the printer for obstructions or damage.
2. Check PS1701 and PS1703 in the duplexer for correct operation. Replace the
duplexer if a sensor is defective.
"Z" is the duplexer as I'm sure you are aware. Have you swung it away from the machine and ALSO lifted up the black guide (with blue handle) to check behind it? Have you also, just opened the upper cover of the duplex unit on the right side of the machine (without swinging the entire unit away from the machine)? If there is actually no paper stuck in it then there may well be a switch that has become dislodged, and you'll need to call somebody...OR, you could disconnect the duplexer: Turn off main power (red button), and remove the connector cover for the duplexer (towards back of machine at bottom of duplexer), by removing 1 x phillips screw. Unplug connectors, and turn machine back on. You won't be able to duplex but the machine should work.
Once you have done this, reinstall the paper tray and try printing again. Note:
You may receive a message informing you that another sheet of paper is
jammed elsewhere in the printer. If so, please open the front door and
remove the toner cartridge. Also open the rear door of the printer (and
the duplex option if a duplex unit is installed). Remove any and all
jammed sheets of paper you find. Then try printing again.
If the printer jams again with a 241 PaperJam error message, look to see if it has tried to feed a sheet of paper out of the tray.
