My DS Lite keeps flickering on the touch screen.

When ever I turn my DS Lite on the screen flickers and doesn't stop so I can't read any instructions or user data and I can't play on it much because it would damage my eyes. How can I stop it?Now it has triple imaging on the lower screen.

This is most likely the touch screen, it could be as simple as the P6 connection where the screen plugs in just needs to be re-seated. Most likely though you will need a new touch screen, good news they're cheap.

Something has happened like a drop or something

believe me it doesn't take much to kill it

My ds lite images on the top screen flickering.

Open up the DS and then unseat and reseat the ribbon cable that goes to the screen.

Once you do that, turn on the DS and if the screen is still flickering then the screen will need to be replaced.

Here is a tutorial on how to open up the DS and what the ribbon cable looks like:

Powers on, Screen Flickers

This is a common problem, if you are lucky you simply have not connected up or clipped back in the touch screen cable into its socket properly (connector is numbered P6 on the motherboard) the small ribbon type cable plugs into it. If you are not lucky, like moi, you have broken the flip up part of the connector, but this whole part can be replaced from as little $1 (US dollar), perform the following keyword search on ebay: "Touch Screen Connector P6 For Nintendo DS Lite NDSL" however the connector has to be soldered onto the motherboard, obviously you would have to unsolder and remove the old connector, if you have soldering experience, its a trivial task, if you cannot solder it yourself, you could always ask someone who can do it for you. If successfull you could save yourself having to fork out for a new DS lite! Good Luck!

Ds touch screen and main screen not working - connectors broken

if you would have sent it to me first I would have replaced the case for you and you wouldn't have had these problems, but I can still help you out. I have a white nintendo DS lite in stock that I had to replace the bottom lcd display in. I will ship to you for $90 and if you are feeling adventurous send me your parts and I will take off $10 since I have no clue what is broken and what is not, but to me it sounds like the bottom lcd, touch screen , and circuit board are trash.

My DS Lite

No there isn't, you've been duped my friend (sorry to say). You need to send in the DS Lite because the electrical components for the touch screen are quite literally broken. Either that or you can... Pay for a new one...

Here's a mental note for later: Don't buy or trade electrical gadgets from non-reputable sources, this being your friends as well.

Ds screen just flickers

Check all the ribbon cables and make sure they are all the way in. The flickering screen tells you it's probably one of the cables not on that screen. These cables go in a lot further than you might think.
