Open Question

Ace mower MTD ?

I have an Ace riding mower, MTD #1-330220-4MTD 13AN673G033 SER # 1K300B30128 I can't find the right manual on the MTD website, any suggestions ? My problem is the blade drive belt comes off while in the up position.  There is too much of an angle between the engine pully and the deck pulleys, how to remedy.  Thanks

It was helpful and I appreciate any and all help on this problem.  The studs are close to the pulleys and belts.  I think the problem is the mower deck is worn out tnd racked to one side.  I decided to get a John Deere Thanks Guys

SOURCE: MTD Lawn Tractor problem

The front belt should be a 954-0280A, rear 954-0370. When you go to higher gears, the front belt should be getting tighter as the vari-speed pulley is moving further back. Remove the shift plate, put the transmission in neutral. Start the engine, put speed selector in highest gear and slowly let out on the clutch. You should be able to see what the problem is. It will do everything the same as if were in gear, except move. Make sure you have the correct belts.

How can I get the service manual on up so I can make a copy for the MTD 46 " 3 Blade, 20HP Model # 13RN771H729, Ser.#IC307B70101.

Hi there. I have searched for the manual, but to no avail. I think that you have the deck serial numbers here, and the page requires the engine number for the search. Please enter your engine numbers on the page and run a quick search. If you are unable to locate the file , please get back to me and I will try another link. http://www.briggsandstratton.com/engines/support/operators-manuals/ Hope this helps

How do I know if I am replacing my mtd rider mower belt correctly

The rule of thumb for the routing of the mower belts is to make sure the "V" inside of belt is fitted into your pulleys. The "FLAT SIDE" outside of the belts rides with the flat side up against your idlers (lookes kinda like a pulley but is wider.) It might take you a couple of attempts to get it right. When the belt is on properly it will be nice and snug.

Good luck

I need a diagram showing how to put the drive belt back on a riding lawn mower MTD model 13A869F190

Hi,
I'm having trouble with the number you provided. Please revisit your mower and obtain the model number and serial number, then click on this link:

http://manuals.mtdproducts.com/mtd/public/list.jsp?BrandCode=10301&LeftNav=true&langId=-1#

Type in your info to obtain your users manual for your mower. It should contain the belt routing diagram you're looking for.
Hope this helps... Good luck!
