Clothes take.2 hours or more to dry

Check to make sure that the dryer vent is clean. Most of the time when the clothes take a long time to dry it is the vent. If the vent is clogged then it cannot circulate the air inside the dryer. Also check underneath the lint filter to make sure it is not clogged as well

The heater appears to be heating when drying but it takes 2 to 3 times to get a load dry? Thank you for the help. Scott Model 68712894

if your dryer feels hot inside and the drum tumbles then you have a blocked vent. check that the venting blows to the outside. do this test. unhook the vent behind the dryer, dry a load of clothing and if it dry on the first time then you know the house vent is clogged. cleaned or if you live in an appartment have maintenance clean.

Neptune glass front takes 4 hours to dry clothes.

make sure the vent system is clean. any restrictions can cause the safety switches to activate and turn off heaters. When it cools, the switch resets and starts heating. Unit will continue to cycle the heat off and on. Make sure all elements are working.
Start there.

Taking long time to dry the clothes

Due to a dryer either heats or no heat , I would suggest pulling the dryer out and removing the vent hose . Dry a load of clothes to see if they dry normally . If they do , this verifys that the vent hose is either kinked ( restricting air flow ) , or , if the vent runs UP inside the wall , there is a restriction between the inside vent hose to the outside vent . May have to go into the attic to clean .

Wont dry clothes, i can turn it on and wait a second then open door and heat appears to be onbut it seems to take hours and hours to dry a load

You may have a blocked vent.
Remove the connecting vent from the rear of the dryer.
Run a load of laundry.
Use timed dry at 50 minutes if possible.
If it dries correctly clean and repair the exhaust vent.

Dryer taking too long to dry clothes

Hello :)

Very common problem. You need to call a
duct cleaning company and tell them to clean
your dryer vent. Rule-of-thumb: dryer vents
should be cleaned every couple of years to
prevent them from being clogged with lint and
causing lint fires. This is definitely your problem.
Good luck :)

p.s. one way to verify a clogged vent is
to go outside where the vent exits the house
and feel the air-flow. should have adequate air-flow.

Dryer sometimes works other times doesn't

Check and make sure there is not lint build-up in the venting hose leading to outside. This will cause longer drying times and can be a fire hazard. Also, if you use the Aluminum venting hose instead of the white plastic it can cut up to 30 min. off your drying time. It is a lot safer then the white venting hose which can also be a fire hazard. Make sure all the lint is cleaned out from the inside of the dryer where the venting hose is connected. It could be a clog there. This sounds more like the problem since the clothes are actually drying but it could be a partially burnt out heating element. Good Luck.
