Question about Dell Computers & Internet
This is a pretty straight forward operation. First, of course, you should backup. When it is done any data on the hard drive that you want to keep. Once that is done, put the restore CD in the drive and turn on the computer. Press any key to boot from the CD. The process is pretty much automated, so just watch the prompts and answer them. It should take about 45 minutes to an hour to run. Remove the CD and restart the computer when prompted. It will boot up in the original configuration.ow how it works out for you.

When you say restore to its factory settings what do you mean? Is the computer not booting up? Do you have the factory restore disc for the Dell computer model that you have? What operating system are you using? I know from experience Dell usually does not send out the factory restore disc unless you pay them extra for it. Tell us how the computer is running now and why are the reasons you returning it back to the factory setup. Regards, rcampsr
