Sounds like a faulty safety switch somewhere... maybe the neutral switch or the clutch switch.

My Yardworks riding lawn mower won't start. There is fuel getting into the cylinder and the spark plug is new. What do I check now? It cranks well, just won't start.

Sounds like the needle valve in the carbuetor is stuck and allowing gas in your oil.. You need to fix that and change oil before you start it up.

Moter wont start

When you take out the spark plugs, there's no compression, so it is easier to crank the motor. Although it could be a serious problem in the engine, it's more likely to just be a weak battery. Try charging it with an auto battery charger, or take it to a battery shop to be tested. Also check the battery connections to make sure they are not corroded or loose.

My riding lawn mower won't crank. Battery is good, what could it be

Does it crank but not turn over or it wont do anything? If it wont do anything check under the seat if the seat switch isn't making contact it wont start. Thats a saftey feature.

Motor willnot start. clicking noise when i try to start it. the battery is good and i jump started it with my car--started great. i have cleaned the posta and cables

the problem is the starter cylinoid . this is going to set you back about 10 to 15 dollars.

or it could be your starter trying to go out, it will crank off your car battery because you are using more amps to crank it..
a car battrey has more cranking amps than a small engine battery..f.y.i.

Lawn mower will not hold charge with new battery sometimes starts sometimes no l 120 john dear mower I change my alternator, but it was not turn the fly wheel. what I did wrong

Often mowers come with batteries which simply do not have the cranking amps to do the job. Have someone look at your mower and see if your attery has the sufficient cranking amps.
