Make sure the Bulb is in the flame for the piolet and if not bend it so it is if it still goes out if it still goes out you will have to replace the regulater as it has gone bad.

How does the thermocouple in a gas geyser work in a junkers wall mounted gas geyser?

Thermocouple sits in the pilot light flame and generates a small amount of electricity that tells the control that the pilot light is lit. If the pilot goes out, it shuts off gas so the place won't fill with gas and explode.

Burnham boiler pilot light goes out when thermostat shuts it down

That unit uses a thermocouple 30mv or a pilot generator of 750 mv if the thermostat is a remote type and not integral to the gas valve.
A thermocouple or pilot generator makes power due to a temperature differential across the tip of the generator, if too much is impinged by the flame the generator gets hot across the entire tip, dropping power output.
You likely need a new thermocouple they are about $15 and easily replaced.

How do I lite a wall room heater

First, turn off the gas valve for at least 5 min and ventilate the room. Most wall heaters are lit the same as a water heater. Find a red button to push or turn the gas valve knob to the pilot position. While pressing the red button or the gas valve knob, hold a match to light the pilot flame. After it lights continue holding the knob for one or two minutes. If the flame goes out when you release the knob the thermocouple is probably bad.

Will not light, the pilot light comes on but when I light the knobe out to turn it to the on position the pilot light goes out.

Dirty pilot safety most likely. If dust gets into the ODS chamber the safety feature will think the oxygen in the room is low and shut down. I would try cleaning it first and if that don't do it then the thermocoupler is weak not holding when the valve is advanced to the ON position. I have some Literature HERE and a nice movie which features the safety pilot in action HERE

Heater shutting off

this type of heater is very sensitive to the state of the pilot since it uses a Renni type thermocouple to sense a low oxygen situation. Usually the pilot needs to be cleaned. If that does not restore operation only other thing to do is try replacing the thermocouple.
A low pilot will usually hold for a few minutes so I would expect that you have a bad thermocouple.

Pilot lights fine, furnace fires up, when it turns off the pilot goes out

need to have at least 3 feet of vent out of the roof, if it is to low the coll air will cold soak down to the pilot and shut it down.
