My samsung le32r41bd keeps going up in channels on it's own, I can't stop it at all. Can anyone help?

TV keeps going up in channels on It's own even when I turn it off (standby) it turns itself back on and does the same thing. I have no idea how to fix it. It just randomly happened last night while I was watching TV

Most likely a problem with the products manual control panel on the tv. one or more of the buttons are either stuck or corrupted. Find this part and you can fix the set.

I have over 10 years experience in electronic tech support.

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but the problem you've described can't be fixed with troubleshooting. Your TV will have to be repaired. There is a part that has developed a defect and needs to be replaced. If you're still in warranty, the TV will be repaired at no charge to you. The warranty would likely be at least one year from the date of purchase from the manufacturer. If you purchased an extended service plan they will repair the TV at no charge as well.

If the TV is no longer in warranty, it will likely cost a minimum of $150 parts and labor. This is assuming that you only need a power supply module. If the problem is more than one of the circuit boards, the price of repair could go much higher.

I hope I've provided you useful assistance and that this information allows you to make an informed decision as to how to proceed from here. Please be sure to vote on my response. I hope I've earned a good rating from you today.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Howdy,
It sounds like you have a Power Supply Board problem. The PSB is the center Board (towards left) after you remove the back off the TV. Remove Board from TV with the 6-7 screws. Replace capacitors CM852 & CM853; 2200ufd 25volts.

Thanks for using FIXYA, big IRISH.

Set will not change channels with original remote: if up down does not work try to direct enter a channel---like 03 enter to go to 3.

If that works go into menu and perform auto program to regain all missing channels.

Samsung flat screen T.V with sound problems.

Sounds like the issue is with the set top box of your cable or direct tv provider. Please swap that receiver for the equivalent or a more updated version. If the problem persists. Verify that all inputs on television is correct. It should match. Output of source( digital receiver, dvd player) to Input( television ). Make sure all is secure. Good luck

Retuning digital TV

You need to use the (what looks like a large sattellite) button to retune your tv.
Some Samsung tv's let you access the button but other models have a "D MENU" button on the remote. Press this button, then scroll down to the icon that looks like a large sattellite. Then scroll across and click on "Auto Store" this will then go through all the available channels
