PRESARIO F500 MICROPHONE NOT WORKING

check hp website for driver download

remove the battery then try to plug the charger directly on your laptop without a battery.. to test if the battery is working properly. if not.. maybe your main board have a problem. just like athe compaq presario of my friend. also mainboard problem.

Have you looked in the Compaq site??

Check the capactiors for swelling. Ssytems of about your pcs age all have this problem. ALso check the fax is spinning and unobstructed as well.....here is a pic of what swollen caps look like

you need to replace the battery, don't leave your laptop plugged in when not in use, it will reduce the batteries life and eventually it will fail.
