You must have a printer installed in Windows so that it can be put in the menu of Adobe. You will then be able to print from Adobe once the printer is installed via Windows control panel.

There's a discussion of this problem on Adobe's forum at
http://forums.adobe.com/thread/771034.
Maybe some of the ideas there will help.

Have you tried Foxit Reader? It's for .pdf files and I've had very good luck with it. Download it for free:

101 processes running ? Your pc is severely infected. The only way out of this mess is to backup your personal files and reinstall Windows. And do that quickly before all your files are lost.

Can't print multiple PDF files in 11x17 format. I open windows explorer and select the specific PDF files. Click on File, Print. They all print out, but they all are 8 1/2 x 11 on a 11x17 paper, instead of...

Adobe Reader can be real pain it the... neck sometimes.
But first I would inspect not only the printer setup, but also printer's default print settings. Windows XP has 3 places, where you can see the printer options:
1. Printer properties
2. Print preferences
3. Default print setup.
The third one is the one you have to set. When you double click on your printer icon, a print queue window opens. Choose Printer->Properties, go to Advanced tab, and on the bottom there's a button "Default print setup" (I don't have English XP handy, so I'm translating back to English from my version - excuse me if they might appear a little different).
It's there you need to set up the default page size and so on.

If this still doesn't help, try opening Acrobat Reader, setting the Page Size Scaling to None, printing something and closing Acrobat Reader. From what I've seen, it tends to remember this setting from previous sessions.

You may also try alternative PDF readers, like Foxit Reader or PDF Xchange Reader.

Good luck :)

I cannot open up any saved pdf files on my computer. The properties for the software is reflecting adobe 9 and the saved items are reflecting as 9.1. Is there a patch or an update that I may be missing?

Hi there, first try to update your adobe, now the latest version is 9.2, just go in adobe and select help and then check for updates, that should solve the problem, if not then it its maybe your firewall or antivirus that maybe block you adobe.(you have to ceck if your antivirus have some files in Quaranteene and your firewall gives the access to adobe)

In the meantime you can try to use this PDF readers instead :

Problem getting the Ricoh Aficio CL12000N Printer to print files

Hi, Sorry you are having problems,
Ok, well, that sounds to me like you have a new version of Adobe Acrobat. And, well, the new version of Acrobat works with more and more options and bigger and more complex documents.... And.... well, your G3 and the Ricoh printer just can't handle these files.
So, what is the solution other than buying a new computer and a new printer, which would certainly solve your problem, ?
What I recommend is print pdf files as images, you will find this option in the print dialogue box, unfortunately, i don't have access to a Mac OS 9 machine to take snapshots to show you, but, if you snoop around the print dialogue options, I'm sure you'll find ( Print as Image ) and that feature really reduces the weight of the image you are sending to the printer.
