You will need to take the back panel off use a 1/4 in socket driver. Then you should see the drum.

Two of the three fins had broken off in my MCD7600. to replace:

1) remove the door from the front (2 screws) and the hinges will pull straight out
2) remove the 2 white blocks/covers on the opposite side
3) the front panel will then pop out and lift up and off
4) there is a small (2") bracket that is holding the top on, remove those and the top will flip right up as it has hinges on the back for this purpose
5) now you can easily (from the bottom) find the screws and replace (from the top) the fins that have come off

good luck

One of the paddles inside the drum has come loose on one end--broken fastener. How do I take the top off to fix it?

you have to start by taking off the door at the hinges, then the front panel will twist off at the smaller raised portion, about 2 inches wide. once you have the front off, you will see the screws that hold the top to the front.
the drum baffles are held in with screws and if you can just use a bigger screw or just tighten the ones that are there.

Paddle inside dryer came loose how do we tighten

You have to open up the dryer to expose the clothes drum. Most paddles are fastened by two or three 1/4" sheet metal screws. Look for your lost screw in the dryer or replace it with the same. Use a drop or two of lock-tite to keep screws in place. Good time also to clean out all lint which can become a fire hazard, replace the drum belt and redo all of the screws.

My dryer squeeks when running

Hi, I've had a similar problem (I think) on my MDG7400 dryer. There was a cyclical squeak, metal against metal. It turned out to be the screw that holds the drum paddle to the drum. It had worked itself loose and was scraping against the inside wall of the dryer. Remove the front door lift the top, and tighten 'er up. Hope that helps.

The paddle came off inside my Neptune Dryer

The screws for the paddle can be accessed by removing the small back panel. If they are stripped out you will need a new paddle.
