I tried turning heat up with ^ button. Nothing happened so I turned it off. When I tried to turn it back on, nothing happened. The function locked light is green. I unplugged the unit to reset it, but that didn't work either. Please help.

When resetting anything electronic, leave switched off for about 15 mins. The electronic boards store the memory of any failure or problem and switching off for only a few seconds or minutes will not reset the board. Turn off at the mains supply not the wall control.
When you light the pilot, are you holding it down for 30-60 seconds. When you release the pilot button, does the pilot flame stay lit? Or does it only go out when you turn the knob to on position. Make sure the pilot flame is heating the end of the thermocouple and that it's a strong blue flame, not a lazy yellow pilot flame. Make sure the tip of the thermocouple is not burn't off, which usually happens with lazy yellow pilot flames. Replace thermocouple is nothing else works.
Turn your fan from auto to on at thermostat, if fan doesnt come on.
Remove blower motor door to get to control panel-Turn poweroff !
Try to turn blower wheel to see if it will turn freely,
Remove thermostat wires from control board, put a jumper wire between
r and g.Put door back on and restore power, fan should run. If it does
than it is possible you have a burnt out speed on whatever cylcle heat/cool you are trying to use.
To troubleshoot this-turn power off and find where the blower wires go to
control board. exchange the wires from park to heat or cool terminals.
put cover back on and restore power.IT should work,if nothing happens then you probably have a problem with blower
You more than likely need to change or adjust your thermocouple in the furnace. It is the part the pilot light heats up to let the furnace know it is safe to turn on the gas flow. These go bad over time and are fairly inexpensive and easy to change.
