I would use the System Restore function and revert back to before you installed it. You should use Firefox if you're not already instead of IE 8. It's still in BETA anyways.

You can do the system Restore in Safe Mode. Press F8 every few seconds when you start the computer.

The Aspire touch internet will not load up, i just get an "about blank" and my computer freezes

Hello,

If you have upgraded to IE 9, uninstall it and use IE 8. I have seen this a lot lately and Microsoft is working on the issue(s). If you are not using IE 9, try using your System Restore command to go back to a date when the pc was working correctly.

Good Luck

Why does my internet freeze? what can I do

If your computer as a whole is freezing, then you have to check for viruses / malware.
But, if it is only your internet that freezes up, then try resetting your Internet Explorer.
I am presuming that you are using Internet Explorer 7 or 8, as your browser.
To reset Internet Explorer (IE) :-
1. Open Internet Explorer .
2. Click Tools, and then click Delete Browsing History.
3. In Delete Browsing History, click Delete All.
4. Click to select the Also delete files and settings stored by add-ons
check box, and then click OK.
5. Switch to the Security tab.
6. Click Reset all zones to default level, and then click OK.
7. On the Advanced tab, click Reset.
8. In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, click Reset.
9. When Internet Explorer finishes restoring the default settings, click
Close, and then click OK .
10. Uncheck Enable third-party browser extensions option in the Settings box
11. Close Internet Explorer . The changes take effect the next time that
you open Internet Explorer .
Try to reset IE, as explained above.
Even after resetting IE, if IE still freezes, then there may be some viruses / malware on your computer.

IE8 from Microsoft cannot give you viruses. Did you download ie from another site?

This looks like viral activity for real.
Could be coincidence that it happeneed after installing IE 8 whether from MSoft or otherwise.

Delete the ie 8 and do a system restore to a point earlier ...

My internet explorer 8 suddenly closes automatically

You need to give more details.
Can you open IE 8 at all? Can you open it in safe mode?
Did it occur after an automatic update for instance?

Try restoring your system to an earlier date, prior to the issue arising.
IE 8 also has a habit of shutting itself down when it accesses or references an incompatible add on initially installed for IE7.
If the latter is the case, do a system restore to b4 you installed IE8 then go to microsoft site and install IE 8 from there. It will probably tell you about incompatible add ons during the process and you get the opportunity to deactivate them

COMPUTER WILL FREEZE UP AND/OR RESPOND VERY SLOWLY

Have you defragged the hard drive recently? Right click on the drive and go to "Properties" then "Tools" to defragment the drive. You might also invest in some more memory. Good luck!
