Question about Acer POWER APS290-UC4201P MT CELERON M 420 1.60GHZ / 512MB / 80GB HDD / SIS MIRAGE 2 / DVD+/-RW ... PC Desktop
I have a Acer m420 4850B new I put in a PCI card... now on startup it states chassis door was opened... press F1 to continue.... can't find how to disable that problem
Try going to the horses mouth (Acer) next time. From their on-line support:
Chassis Opened Warning Error
To disable the Chassis Intrusion Alert, please follow the steps below.
Immediately afer releasing the power button, begin tapping on the Delete key.
This will enter the system BIOS.
In the BIOS, use the arrow keys to navigate the menus.
Select Chassis Opened Warning and press Enter.

this is a setting that needs to be reset in the bios.
when you turn the computer on, at somepart of the screen the computer will say press this button to enter setup or bios. press the button when asked to enter bios. in bios you will need to find case intrusion detection and turn it off. Its probably in the monitoring part of the bios.
I will have to look into it to pinpoit to exact location there.
