Hey,

this is a setting that needs to be reset in the bios.
when you turn the computer on, at somepart of the screen the computer will say press this button to enter setup or bios. press the button when asked to enter bios. in bios you will need to find case intrusion detection and turn it off. Its probably in the monitoring part of the bios.

I will have to look into it to pinpoit to exact location there.

Thanks,
Ekse

It will take too long to locate the correct manual for your computer but I took another computers manual and the bios settings may be a little diffrent but basicly.

this should be in the H/W monitoring page.

we are looking for chassis intrusion, turning that to disabled or off will remove the problem your facing. ones you have turned it off you should be able to turn it on the next time you start up and it shouldn't complain unless the case is opened again.

Its a good protection in a public enviroment, for example a employee might steal some ram from a computer or other parts with this feature enable the owner of the pc will be aware that someone has been inside and will check the internals.

Its not very useless at home since its very unlikely to happen but there are people out there who might do this at work or other public places.

Let me know if you need anything else.

    Thanks,

    Ekse

Can i take the wifi from my dell optiplex 160l and put it in my acer computer?

The answer to your question will depend on what expansion slots your new Acer desktop computer has and whether one of these will match the specific 'half mini PCI-e' card which is used in the Dell Optiplex 160L per http://www.dell.com/uk/business/p/optiplex-160/pd which states it is an Optional Dell Wireless 1397 802.11BG Half Mini-PCIe card.
You will also need to obtain the device drivers for this wireless card in order to use it in the Acer.
Given that the Dell wireless card is only an 11/54MB standard card (802.11BG) I would recommend buying a newer 802.11N wireless card which will be sold with the necessary device driver and software applications needed, will give higher speed connectivity access and be much simpler to install and manage.

Where is the video card?

The video card is either on a riser card from your motherboard or integrated into your motherboard.
you can easily find out as it is the place your monitor plugs into your computer usualy with a blue 15pin D shaped plug.
or a larger white plug.

My HP M7260n doesn't recognize my new Video Card...

You might need to uninstall the old video card device, so Windows does not use the old drivers for the new card.
Another option is to try and boot in Safe Mode (press F8 during startup), so Windows uses the VGA mode (which all video cards support), and then install the proper driver.
Installing the latest ATI driver updates might also not be a bad step.

I have an AcerVeriton M264 and I bought a graphics card for it yester day and installed it but all I get when I turn on the pc now is a blank screen with a message that says "over range" I can not do...

What card was in it before?? If none then you havnt switched BIOS from Mobo to AGP / PCI-e whatever the card is you havent stated.

Need more info
What was in it before, If there was a card you have to un-install ALL video drivers BEFORE putting new card in.
You also need to ensure that the mobo specs meet the specs of the new card ie AGP X2,4,8,16 etc.

Acer desktop Veriton M420, cannot disable chassis intrusion....

I'm surprised the CMOS reset didn't work. Try plugging the chassis intrusion trigger back in and then clearing CMOS and restarting, it may be looking for it there and refusing to start when it doesn't see it. Once you get it back up and running, contact Acer and demand a fix for that terrible chassis intrustion crud.

Installing new graphics card need to know which one I need

I'm sorry but you won't get any decent graphic card for this PC. There is integrated intel graphic card and only expansion slots are PCI.
Currently produced cards are mostly PCI-E, you may find some older with AGP however they are rare.
