Onkyo TX-DS676 problem(s) (by 3 users)

By Riddle - usenet poster

Hi everyone,
Recently my three or four year old Onkyo AV receiver started having some
problems with it's memory. Every time I turn it on, all settings are gone
and have returned to default. Believe me, it's very annoying.
I *think* it's just a dead battery...... or something like that. So I took
off the cover hoping to see something that would resamble a battery.
Couldn't find one though...
I really don't know where to look or even what to look for. Help is much
appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Perhaps not only look up for battery ,try to look up for hi capacitance capacitor( small in size, low voltage,hi capacitance eg:5v >10000uf ),this type of capacitor functon like a battery to hold mem. data. hope it help.

what a strange problem

Perhaps it's the volatile memory in the reciever
you might want to drop onkyo europe a line
