Question about LG Dare VX9700 Cell Phone
My LG dare has water damage but everything seems to be working fine. BUT the damage is making everything on my phone an aqua blue color. the background on my phone is a black and white picture but the damage has made it black and blue. sometimes it shuts down but i can still call and text people.what do i do to fix the problem?
Don't let it sit for thirty days. It will corrode the metal contacts and then deposit the dissolved metals when it evaporates.
Instead, try this easy and cheap fix. Order some DRIERITE or beg a friend with access to a chemistry lab to get you some. It's a reusable desiccant used for pulling water out of mixtures. Heat up about a pound of it in a shallow pan until it's dry- the color indicating type will turn blue. Pour it into a Tupperware, the shallower the better. (More surface area.) Lay a bit of paper down atop it once the dust settles, while it's still quite warm. Then lay your phone atop the paper with the battery separate from the main phone. Seal the Tupperware.
Whenever the DRIERITE is near saturation (for the color indicating kind, it will turn pinkish grey) shuffle fresh grains from the bottom of the Tupperware to the top. Removing the phone and heating the DRIERITE in the original shallow pan and repeating all the steps helps, too. As it cools, it pulls moisture from the air inside the sealed Tupperware.
My LG Dare fell into a toilet and jammed in the pipe, took five solid minutes underwater to free it. The DRIERITE cleared it out in less than three days.

Unfortunately, this problem will get worse. Good rule of thumb is to take the cell battery out of the cell phone immediately after you remove it from the moisture. The phone should dry for 30 days before inserting the battery again. re inserting the battery to soon will cause major damage over time. what you are experiencing is LCD bleedover due to the water damage.
