Battery Installation:
1. Requires 3 AA (called LR06 in some countries) alkaline batteries.
2. Locate the dial on the end of the ball, and unlock the dial by using a flat instrument,
such as a screwdriver or coin.
3. Holding the ball in both hands, twist sides in opposite directions and pull the blue side away
from the center.
4. Locate the battery door on the inside of the white center piece.
5. Remove the two screws in the compartment door and install new batteries as shown in the
polarity diagram (+/-) inside the battery compartment.
6. Replace battery door securely and reassemble ball before use.

Would not be wise to give any code here, because it is not sure a parent or a child is asking this.

We have an old leap frog learn around playground with tube topper and the balls are missing. can replacement balls be ordered

I have been working on this problem myself. The playground uses 2" diameter balls. So any 2"ball should work. Leapfrog themselves make repalcemetn balls for another toy that meet this criteria(Peek-a-Shoe Talking Octopus Spare Ball Set)..

How do you changed the leapster battery?

you need to use a coin to twist that silver knob on back. then once it pops up (it is spring loaded), slide it down , it comes all the way out and hols 4 AA batteries. change them, slide the whole unit back in and twist the knob with a coin to lock. I hope that helps.
