Question about Nikon COOLPIX S9 Digital Camera
I bought a Nikon Coolpix s9 for my daughter. The lcd screen is broken (looks like etch-a-sketch) so I bought a second camera on eBay with a working lcd screen. I took the camera apart however it is not clear to me how to detach the ribbon cable from the camera. I found instructions for an S1 (http://ithacacomputerrepair.com/extras/nikon-s1-lcd/index.html) but the S9 appears to be different. The ribbon cable is terminated to a black plastic connector attached a white connector seated on the camera. Not sure if the black connector separates from the white connector?
Any assistance is appreciated. lcd screen looks like etch-a-sketch
Generally those small connectors either open upwards or extend out a little, it may be thight and be carefull with it, if you break the small plastic part that holds the cable in place, its very difficult to find a replacment.
I can't see what kind of connector you got on it, but it either opens upwards or you can pull it a little out from the sides.
