My 92 f-150 passenger side window motor works, but it will not raise or lower the window. I took the motor out and the motor gear looks good and the teeth on the regulator also look good.

Does anyone know what might be the problem/

You need to replace the motor, you might try to just disconnect the connector, though i had to replace both driver and passenger side motors, this seems to be a common problem with the F150

Chad , using a test light check for voltage at he switch when pressing up or down. If you have voltage, you probally have an open winding in the motor or a dead spot.. [Im serious] Try smacking the lower door with a RUBBER mallet to jar the window motor while hitting the up button. If the motor has failed completly, switching wires will not work.

1995 Ford Taurus front passenger window went down and won't roll up

Remove the switch panel and check to see there is 12V power there.. If there is Push the switch and see if the power comes out of it to drive the motor, if the power is not present check the wire back looking for the short.. usually if the power is missing none of the windows will work. look where the wires come out the door post to the door. look at fuses, If there is power and it does not come through the switch when you push the switch. the switch might be bad. in which case jump the switch to roll window up and buy a new switch (rock auto.com) if you apply 12v power and the window still will not go up.. you will need to replace the motor. not a hard job. you must remove door panel and remove regulator and motor and replace and reinstall. either junk yard part, craigslist part or new at Rock auto.. Post a comment and let us know what happens.

Drivers window stuck down

The switch mechanism is likely wet. Remove it, and dry it thoroughly before reconnecting and retrying.

2000 ford f150 window will not roll up. Reversed polarity on motor and unit works fine. Replaced switch and still does not work.

Try replacing the motor. Often when they begin to fail the window will still go down, but the extra effort of moving it back up against gravity is more than the motor can handle.

Power window on 1990 Ford F150 stops working

the motor has an armature inside that rotates.if it stops on the bad spot,it will draw alot of current.the armature has copper plates with a very fine separation between them.after a while the brushes wear the copper down and it can bridge 2 together.the motor will still run, until one brush stops right where the 2 plates meet.if you bang on it it will work too sometimes.

Window motor rolls down but not up.

I think that the switch itself is losing contact. By switch I mean the button you are depressing to roll up the window.
