Remove the front panel to find where the gas injectors enter the burner tubes you will see they are cut away and have a screw holding an outer ring which is adjustable, open them up more to get more air in .
The problem is with the orifice leading to the burner. If it is not centred then you will get yellow flame. Or you are impeding the flow out of the burner and it is not mixing properley. I would pull the burners apart and make sure everything is clear and the orifice is centred.
When you turn the burner knob on does the igniter click and turn off on it's own when the flame ignites? If it does then it has flame rectification. That means it can sense when the flame is on. Or does it click when the knob is in the light position and not stop until you move the burner knob? Then this is standard ignition. If it is standard ignition it sounds like it is the igniter switch built into the burner knob might be defective. Are you able to turn on any burner knob and when they are in the igniter position do all the electrodes spark or just the burner that you are turning on? If they all come on then they are wired in a series. If they are wired in a series do you get a spark at the electrode of the problem igniter? If so you can turn on one of the other burners to ignition position then while it is clicking turn on the problem burner to light it. If the cooktop uses flame rectification then there may be a problem with the switch built into the burner knob or the flame rectification sensor for that burner might be bad.
sounds like the air /gas mixture is off.look at where the burner meets the gas valve (the knob) under the grates and play with the adjuster turn it slowly while the burner is on and this will change the value of the air/gas mixture good luck
In addition to polishing up the end of the igniter as mentioned above, remove the burner cap cover and and the round burner cap. As noted above, electrical contact or grounding is an important element in the spark igniter function. Any poor contact surface can cause the igniters to continue to spark after a burner lites. If everything seems in order, polish the underside of the aluminum burner cap and the top side of the aluminum burner base (where they come in contact with each other). This is part of the grounding circuit for the igniters. I used an "SOS" pad. In our case, these parts had tarnished with age. My wife was very happy when I fixed this one.
