Question about Nintendo Wii Fit for Wii

1 Answer

Board won't turn on

I've had my Wii Fit for about 5 months now. I've already changed the batteries in the board. When I go to turn it on, the blue light won't even flash. It completely won't turn on. I checked the batteries and they are all facing the correct way, there is no battery leakage, and they are only a few weeks old (so it is not a battery problem). Please help me so I can use the game again!

This seems to be something that I can't understand. My best suggestion is to ensure that your product is registered and contact Nintendo via their website's customer service link.

rechargeable batteries are definitely a better bet. I have used many Wii battery packs and chargers, none seem to last very long.

I have a wii fit board, when you power it up, it

Had the same problem. It's a sync problem.
First, best to double check you have fresh batteries.
Next, turn the board upside down and remove the cover from the battery compartment.
Open the small hatch cover on the front of your console unit.
Now start wii fit from the disk menu item.
Next, press the small red button inside the balance board battery compartment. The blue lights will blink for approx 3=5 sec.
While they are blinking, press the red button on the console (in the hatch compartment).
This should re-sync your board and the light stays lit.
Good luck.

My wii fit board won't connect with tv is the blue light suppose to stay on all the time or flash

Hi, thanks for using Fixya!
  • Open the SD card slot on the nintendo wii, open the battery panel on the wii balance board.

  • Press the two red sync buttons on the wii console and the balance board and hold for 3 seconds.

  • The blue light on the back of the wii balance board should flash for 5-10 seconds and then stay blue.

  • If this doesn't work then try changing the batteries and trying again.

If it still isn't connecting then the problem is something a proper nintendo expert will have to help fix.

Thanks, I hope I have been of assistance.

Wii board

Make sure that you have synced the board to the wii (similar to a controller). You have to take the battery cover off the board and push the sync button. The blue light will start flashing. From there you need to open the front cover of your wii under the power button.

From there you start up wii fit and it will prompt you to turn on your board. You should get a solid blue light. If you don't, you may need to try syncing again.

My wii fit board will not stay on when I press the button. I have put new batteries in it.

The WII Fit board will only stay on, if there is a game loaded and waiting to access the board. For instance, the WII Fit game will prompt you to turn on the the WII Fit board. If you turn it on before prompted, the WII Fit board will turn itself off.

However, assuming you do not have a hard ware problem and you have already put in fresh batteries. you may have to resync the WII Fit board and the WII. Try pressing the red button on the WII Fit Board (near batteries) and the WII itself (near the SD card slot).

My balance board won't turn on either

You have to sync it up to the Wii. Open the little compartment under the reset button. Press the little red button, and press the red sync button on the balance board. Which can be found were the batteries are placed.
