All graphics cards can turn their self off by deafult in windows as its a power management feature......
if you dnt want this to happen simply disable it in display settings\screen saver

Video nvidea geoforce 7600 graphics card, how do you replace it please

Turn off power and remove power lead. Remove side panel, locate the securing screw/s and remove. The graphics card should be easy to remove now ( there may be a locking switch on the rear of the card.) Don't forget to disconnect the monitor lead/s before attepmting to remove the card. Good luck and welcome to the world of computer repairs.

Hello i tryed to hook up my GeForce 7600 GS / 512MB to my 32 inch flat screen i played with it to get it centered to my tv not i get nothing on my lcd but windows start up then nothing after windows start...

You need to set the tv's setting as well, and not all tvs will accept the input from video cards on all resolutions.

Try changing the screen resolution and see what your TV will accept....or goto the tv's website and find the specs that list what resolutions it can except.

Unistall this unit and reboot ,

if the problem still exists then back up the info you need and then consider formatting this unit
or
restoring it back to an earlier time before the card was introduced,

either solution will fix the problem,

Now that everythings working again search the model of the card you have and read about the card specs and or the reveiws about the cards ratings, compared with your computers specs,
More ram may be required for the card to perform properly,

once back to normal,
then try to reinstall the card again, hope you got the disk?

If it turns to custard again then consult the store you got the card from and ask them to demo the card for you.

or

you demo it to them.

Installed new graphics card and Windows won't start

If your new video card has a power connector, make sure it is connected to a power plug. If you already did that, it's possible your PC's power supply doesn't have enough power to run all your connected equipment.

To get your old card running, hit F8 repeatedly during boot-up until you get the boot options. Select VGA mode. It should boot up properly then.

Once booted into VGA mode, set your screen resolution to something simple like 1024x768 or 800x600, then reboot.

If that doesn't work, try hitting F5 repeatedly during boot-up to boot into Safe mode. You can then adjust your settings again there.

7600gt ?

Dear cgb1981; A lot of times graphic cards do conflict if one of the drivers gets corrupted. Try this: Reinstall the driver for the 7600gt card from the CD it came with. Most CDs will Auto-run upon insertion into the drive. It will detect the 7600gt. Click to install driiver. If that doesn't work, check BIOS and choose DEFAULTS for all screens. But the driver is the first culprit. Good luck.
