You will have to take the back off and pop the top up. To pop the top, insert a stiff putty knife into the joint where thr top meets the front, about 2 inches in from the sides. Push inward to release the catches.

Depending on the type of door the dryer has, is how you approach the access of these dryers. Mostly though you yank out the filter first.Remove the 2 screws in the filter housing on top. Then use a putty knife to pop the top. Remove the screws holding the front panel on. VERY IMPORTANT! Raise the front up an inch before pulling forward or the panel clips will break! Some models have a panel on bottom. If they do then this panel must come off first. Then you remove the door springs and back off the screws holding down the bottom of the door panel. Then pop the top and remove the screws on top to get the panel out of your way. Belt routing pic

How to change dryer belt

You have to remove the drum, by disassembling the dryer. That process depends on the model.

I please need a belt routing diagram for whirlpool dryer LEN2000LW0 to determine what the exact problem is. The dryer had a very high pitched squeaky noise until one day when the drum stopped turning. ...

If the drum stopped rotating, the belt is likely either broken or stretched to such a degree that it has fallen off the drum. The dryer will have to be opened up to determine what's wrong. Routing of a replacement belt is pretty easy to figure out but you might be able to get Whirpool to send you a diagram. You also can get information (and a replacement belt) from an appliance parts supplier

The belt is broken and we need a replacement for it.

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly

Go to any of these sites and enter your model number:

http://www.searspartsdirect.com

http://www.appliancepartspros.com

http://www.repairclinic.com

If you have difficulty locating your belt I need your complete model number and will use those same sites to find your belt for you. There are 2 different sized belts for a whirlpool dryer depending upon the model number. 27 inch dryer and 29 inch dryer.

Download this manual to help you change the belt:
https://secured.whirlpool.com/Service/SrvTechAdm.nsf/2cd44500d572193285256a45004fd9d6/4829abde74a34d7f85256ab000620794/$FILE/4322260.pdf

The order of removal is the toe panel, top and then the front panel to gain access to change the belt.
Toe panel (page 15 / pdf file page 20)
Top panel (page 14 / pdf flie page 19)
Front panel (page 19 / pdf file page 24)

Make sure you inspect the drum seals (felts) and the the drum rollers in the process of changing the belt.

The manual link I passed is for the 27 inch dryer but access is exactly the same for the larger dryer.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

The drum on my Whirlpool dryer model LEN2000LW0 stopped turning around. I'm guessing that a belt broke?

Whirlpool washer takes long time to dry clothes.

A dryer ( Whirlpool ) , either heats or no heat . If it heats , then the vent is partially clogged , either in the hose , or between the dryer and the outside . Disconnect the vent , and dry a load , checking the air flow . If good , then to the outside is restricted .
