Question about Canon PIXMA iP1800 InkJet Photo Printer
Loaded driver from cd. Loaded ok. When itwas checking the connection got message check connection. Went to hardware printer is there with a question mark. Clicked on printer message said re-install driver. Checked ports. None of the ports have printer beside them. I tried other ports that are listed, but when I try to use them I get a printer error message. All of my USB ports are working as I tried them all with my mouse which has a USB connection. I re-installed the driver after deleting the previous driver in-stall. Same problem, unable to connect to the USB port. I have a Averatec All-In-One with Windows XP Home Edition SP3. I installed this printer on my Compaq computer with no problems.
Reinstall with upgrades. Five of the software packages were updated this month. Think they knew that their was a problem?
