GE ETERNA not making ice or water

Any clues? We've made sure the compressor area is free of dust and have also made sure the auger is working and there is no ice in the dispenser.

Didn't see you mention the last time you changed the water filter. For me this was the simple fix. You can find one at your local hardware store. Simply follow the instructions included. Good luck!

SOURCE: GSS25LGMF WW Will not dispense ICE or Water, lights are on

If the water does not dispense, it may be that the water line is frozen in the refrig. section. The solution is to lower the temperature setting of the refrig sect a number or two.

If the ice bin is full and does not dispense, it is probably a bad or frozen auger motor. To test it open freezer door and remove the ice bin by sliding it out. Then hold the door switch while you press the dispenser lever on the outside of the door. You should see the motor turn in the back of the fridge. If nothing happens, it should be replaced. If it just hums, it may be frozen. In that case, wait till the freezer finishes defrosting and test again.

If you cant manually turn your auger motor, it may be bad. Does it dispense solid ice or no ice at all? Another thing may be your control panel. That could be bad too, it's the one sending juice to both your solenoid and auger motor.

According to factory experts, the water line is freezing in the door. There is no easy or cheap solution...they can replace the door for $300 is what I was told. The line is routed in such a way that it is not insulated enough from the cold of the freezer. Take off the bottom fan grill in front, take water line apart and cycle the water. It will pump out but not go through door. Buy a new door or go to the faucet.

Ice production is very low

You should clean the coils beside the compressor. That helps.
Maybe think about replacing the water filter.
That ice maker makes 3 attempts to fill the mold. It's on board intel monitors changes in resistance when water is added to the ice mold.

Broken auger on ice maker needs to be replaced. Can't get apart.

You will have to remove the E ring that attaches to the end of the auger before you can pry the pats apart.

Fridge won't dispense ice through door.

First take the hopper out and let it de-ice completely making sure that it is dry before re-installing it. Make sure that the auger moves when re installed with no ice in it.
