The power cable of your 2106 acts as a data cable also. You should find additional unused wires on the cable. Locate the brown and blue wires. You will need to connect the brown wire to the "NMEA OUT +" terminal on the autopilot course computer and connect the blue wire to the "NMEA IN +" terminal on the course computer. Finally, connect the "NMEA OUT -" and the "NMEA IN -" to ground (preferably the same place that the Garmin is grounded (black wire). Be sure that the Garmin interface is set up for NMEA In / NMEA Out. That should get you going!

Although I could be wrong, John it appears to me that there is no NMEA output from the Dragonfly to connect to a DSC radio. Here is the link I checked.

Hi!

As you're looking at the tillerpiot receptacle from the back, rotate until the "keyway" on the front is located in the one o'clock position. Your 12v power supply (pin 1) will be slightly below 9 o'clock and your ground (pin 2) will be above pin 1.

Other pinouts designations:

Pin 3= not used
Pin 4= SeaTalk
Pin 5= NMEA -
Pin 6= NMEA +

Your owners manual can be found on the Raymarine website here:

Use the drop-down menus to select Autohelm 1000+

Hope this is helpful!

Yes, the NMEA- output (I think you lefy uot the "-" in your questoin), anyway, the NMEA - or NMEA negative or NMEA ref is hooked to battery supply ground.
Dont forget to program the Garmin to look for 48,000 baud data.

Raymarine st8002 wired to furuno

The st8002 is not compatble with rs232 data. You need to supply it with nmea 0183 data. You will need to wire it to the "NMEA port IN" on the pilot to NMEA out on your Furuno and turn on the mnea sentances "out" on your Furuno. You will need to turn on at least the following sentances GGA GLL RMB RMC.Hope that helps.

If you have a basic knowledge of electronics and can follow instructions. It's easy the hardest part is connecting the pump and bleeding the system.
