I had a similar problem, and came up with this as a work-around:
Leave the memory card in the camera and hook up the camera directly to the computer via the cable provided by sony to a USB port. It works. And too to format the card just click on my computer right click on the letter that is the camera and hit format.
Hope this is an answer you can use, good luck, please leave rating,
thank you kindly

T3616 with XP pro can't recognize Trendnet TEW-424UB wifi adapter

Go to Emachines - - the intel 10/100 is what you need - try downloading speccy - - this tells you what you have to a point you can go to the website.

Try also - going to the intel.com website and downloading their utility so it can find out what you need from intel.

Inbuilt camera ( webcam) is not working. Device

I had the same issue... Windows update had installed an updated driver that 'broke' the camera... just roll back your driver and you'll be fine.

*I think MS has fixed this issue and the new driver from windows update is working correctly. If not just roll back to the original and all's well.

After installing XP, system wond find ethernet adapter

You installed windows but you did not install the drivers for your hardware, you need to go to the acer website and look for the drivers under the support section...obviously if you network adapter is not working you will need to do this from another PC and copy them to a CD or flashdrive to get them on your PC.

About the BIOS update, i would strongly recommend you do not attempt to do this, if it is done incorrectly you can damage your motherboard beyond repair, quite easily i might add. There really shouldnt be any good reason to do a BIOS update anyway unless you are adding a slightly newer CPU that the motherboard didnt support "out of box".

Installed XP Pro and system doesn't recognize network adapter

Hi,
Whenever you format a laptop, you always need to install the drivers for the chipset, audio, graphics, wifi, LAN etc
Click on this link and, from the drop down menu, choose pronet81266 for wifi and the LAN one at the bottom:
http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/desktop/aspire_t180.html
Install the chipset and the audio too. The one on the list that says ati is for your graphics card.

Fixya!

How do i get a memory stik pro in the card reader

If I’m right, the memory stick pro is only about half an inch long, there is an adaptor
Available from Sony, you insert the memory stick pro in the adapter and everything should be ok.

Let me know, Pierre ( Montreal )

Ejecting Memory Stick Pro Duo card out of notebook card reader

Hi, the memory Stick Pro Duo card is (micro), half size as you have noticed you need to buy an SD adapter card. You put your Pro Duo card into the SD card & than put it into your card reader.
Once you see the SD adapter card on the web site you'll understand. You can buy this at a local BestBuy. Most web sites sell the adapter as a combo, you'll get a micro card & adapter.
