If you Have Display Lights. Then the Memory wire is Hooked up .But the Power wire is not. That is the Red Wire Hanging. It was going to the fuse box before it fell off .Use a Volt Meter (DC).Or a12 volt test light
You Want a Fuse that only has Power (12 Volts) When the Key is Turned on.Use a little connector to connect the wire to that fuse...That will do it..Good Luck

I need to know which colour wire from the radio is for what, so i can fit a non standard stereo

My best advise is not to cut the stock wire harness plug. Go online or to your local best buy and buy a wiring harness that will plug into your stock plug and into the radio. then you don't need to know what any wires are. cutting the stock harness is opening a can of worms.

Radio and dvd player and brake lights have all

YOU SHOULD HAVE 2 POWER FEEDS TO BACK OF HEAD UNIT, ONE IS SWITCHED OFF IGN AND ONE CONSTENT, WITH THE GALAXY ITS WIRED LIKE A vw/seat SO IF YOU HAVE FITTED A NON FORD UNIT THEN YOU NEED TO SWITCH THE RED AND YELLOW FEED AT THE REAR OF THE HEAD UNT. CHECK YOU HAVE 2 FEEDS GOING TO THE REAR, IF ONLY GETTING 1 YOU MAY HAVE A FUSE GONE, CHECK BOX UNDER DASH AND THE OTHER ONE UNDER HOOD/BONNET

Hi my license plat light wont come on could that be a problem with a fuse? i just canged the bulbs i have a 99 ford taurus

The fuse for license plate light is the same for rear driving lights. so if the fuse is broken, you wont have any lights in the rear. I assume that it is not the case.if new bulb doesnt work, check 1) the contacts at the socket, those corrode easily. Check with the lights on, and a 12v tester if power is reaching the socket. If negative, the wiring leading to the socket might be at fault.

Keycode given in manual for Fordka doesnt work.

Your code is 2669

If this does not work then make sure you are quoting the correct Serial Number.

This will be found on the radio casing ( and may be different to the one quoted in the car`s paperwork or Audio Guide

2002 malibu wiring diagram?!?!?!?!?!?!

ok, the red and yellow wires serve 2 different purposes.the yellow supplies constant power to your stereo, and the red is switched power. what youve done is combine the two, and connect them to a constant power source. like this, your stereo wont be switched with your ignition. so take off the red wire, but leave the yellow wire connected to the wire its already on. make sure your stereo fuse is good in the fusebox of the car. then, use a test light, with the ignition switch on, to find the second wire on your cars harness that has power. that will be your switched power. connect that one to your red wire, and that will solve your problem.
