Question about Xerox WorkCentre XL2130f Laser Printer

Shut down at 18,000 pages, J2 code

I changed the drum unit but the J1 code stayed lit. Now the whole thing won't print, giving a J2 code and not allowing any more copies.

    I changed the drum and it did not reset anything. It still shut down even after I put a new drum unit in it.

That is the exact life of a drum for that machine.

That error is image yellow drum up/down senser. Shut down your printer and reseat the drum make sure it is loose and not tight when placing it into the unit.

This indicator is for the drum unit, not the toner cartridge. The drum unit is the assermbly that the toner cartridge is inserted into when being replaced. The drum unit is replaced about every 18,000 pages so after about 5 to 10 toners have been replaced.
Here is a picture of the drum unit.

My drum light is flushing


Open front door where toner/drum goes in
Hold GO button down for about 5 seconds
All lights should come on then go out when GO button is released
Shut door and wait for warm up to end
Drum light should no longer be flashing
If still flashing then try procedure again

The spec sheet has the toner cartridge and drum cartridge part numbers (listed as Supplies)

Toner Cartridge 6R914;
Drum Cartridge 13R551

When copier has printed about 18,000 pages the J2 drum cartridge light will come on. The unit will print about another 1,000 pages before the unit stops working until the drum cartridge is replaced.

I've recently installed a new Brother toner, but the drum light is flashing and the Brother hl 5140 printer won't print


DRUM UNIT "spent"
It can be reset if the printing quality is good
To reset the drum follow the instructions below:
Press the cover release button and then open the front cover of the printer.

Press and hold down Go button until all 4 LEDs are lit. Once all 4 LEDs are lit, release the Go button.

Close the front cover.
Make sure that the Drum LED is now off.
Caution: Reset the drum counter only when you replaced the drum unit with a new one.

CLEAR J2 CODE


Hello sir; After replaced drum need to reset the counter,the procedure as follow;
1, press "clear", "Exposure","clear" "exposure" keys.
2, enter 24, press print key.
it should remove J2.

J1 Error, Changed a brand new factory-sealed toner, still getting J1 Error


Make sure you have the right code: J1 or J2.
one is for the drum and the other is for the ink.
Make sure the toner unit is for this model and not for a different model.
If the old modual is still available, check the connectors at the back and see if they are the same.
If anything else Call Xerox for repair. If the cartridge was bought through Xerox have your reciete available for warrenty.
If repairs still need to be made, A Xerox service call may be needed in order to fully repair the copier and warrenty the cartridge.

Printer Stopped


J2 is the drum cartridge, or some people call it print cartridge has reached the end of its life.
J1 is the toner cartridge, J2 is the drum.

I need help with workcentre XD130df


J2 means the life of the drum has expired.
If replacing the drum does not fix it let me know.
J2 means the drum has met it's 18,000 page life.
