Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

You can down load it from www.mininova.org. You'll need to use a bittorrent for downloading. Or you can do a search online to purchase windows xp sp2.

SOURCE: windows media player won't play cd

go into the settings by rt clicking on media player, and go to tools, options and enable the media player to be the default player for file types, you may want to select "all" that way wmp will be your default player for every audio and video application, if you only want DVD or several of the file types, you can pick out which ones from that same menu, good luck,Gym

SOURCE: I am unable to burn images to a CD or DVD using the Digital Image

Found out after many wasted dvd's that this program is now junk! not supported anymore, therefore throw it away if you need to burn anything. I figured buying another program was going to be cheaper than figuring this one out. I read many articles and many people were having the same problem with no results. I bought Adobe Photoshop and burned like a charm. So now my photo suite disc is going into the trash along with all the half burned dvds i tried to make with this junk program. Thanks again Microsoft. Here is another customer going to Mac when my PC goes belly up.

In XP open WMP and right click on boarder at top of screen, select show classic menu. Click help about and it will show WMP version.

Incidentally it is probably WMP11.

WMP will not burn anything in the burn list

hi!

Go to control panel, click on add\remove programs, click on Add\Remove windows components (wait, it can take up to 5 minutes to load this) scroll down to windows media player, and uncheck the checkbox, click next and finish. Reboot computer. Go to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/AllDownloads.aspx?displang=en&qstechnology= and download windows mediaplayer 11 and install.

After you have finalized installation you have to set up you media library; open windows media player and press F3 button on keyboard, add media.

Thanks for using Fixya.com, please rate my solution, thank you:)

Windows media player 11 will not burn the burn list

Thats an ongoing issue with the WMP11.
I suggest getting software like NERO.
You can also get rid of WMP11 and get an older version.
let me know ASAP.

Firmware problem

No take-backs. You can re-download the firmware. First you need to fix your player connection problem by going to Control Panel=>Uninstall Software and uninstall/downgrade WMP11 and WMP11 runtime. You should have WMP10 afterwards. Then go to Control Panel=>System=> go to the Devices tab and uninstall portable devices driver showing as the MTP Device. Restart. Connect your player via USB and it should be detected. Then go to Creative's website and get a firmware utility for your player by navigating the website. The update should happen automatically after you run the utility.

Sansa Clip 2GB...WMP11 will recognize, but will not list in device pane in Sync mode...

Hah, figured it out! Had to roll back my version of WMP, which can simply be done by (in XP) going to Start > Control Panel > Add Remove Programs, and then click on WMP11 in the program list. Click remove, and it will ask if you want to roll back to the previous version of Windows. Click yes, and it will roll it back to the previous version of WMP11. Now, assuming you have an active internet connection, after you restart your computer, it will ask if you want to update your WMP. Click yes, and it will re-install the version you started out with, replacing drivers, .dlls, and anything you were missing before hand. Long story short, the solution was patching the holes in the program. I can now plug my Sansa Clip 2GB into the USB port, and WMP will recognize it right away (I can almost hear a small voice from inside my computer saying "would you like tea with that, mr. guy?" hah). I also found out you can have more than one media player connected at the same time! How cool is that? Great if you're trying to set up multiple players with the same playlists (promotional type stuff, business type stuff, etc.).

Samsung T10 Mp3 player to be recognised by pc

Heres how I solved this problem
- I was running XP SP2 with WMP10
(Windows Media Player 10)
- Windows will not recognise the T10 unless it has the right MTP (Media transfer Proticol) drivers. This is the little yellow flag you may see on the task bar adter Windows detects the device and trys to install the driver. The drivers are only found in WMP11. Therefore unless you are running WMP 11 your T10 won't sinc or be recognised.
- The Samsung software wont help- so don't bother even installing it as WMP11 has the drivers and does everything the Samsung software does + more.
- I tried to download and install WMP11 directly from the microsoft website but my PC failed the authentcation so I saved the file to my HD instead.
-I then unpacked the WMP11.exe file using WinRAR which i downloaded for free from http://www.download.com/WinRAR/3000-2250_4-10745708.html.
- I individually ran the WMP11 install file and then all of the other unpacked files by double clicking on them (it takes some time). This installed WMP 11
- I then shut down the PC, plugged in My T10 and WMP/windows recognised the T10!

I had a friend who alos did the above but had a couple of problems- he uninstalled WMP10, Installed WMP11 using the WinRAR method above and it didn't work. After uninstalling WMP11 and then reinstalling it again using the WinRAR to un pack it it finally worked after a couple of re boots.

Note: Prior to using the above method i googled and tried several other ways to get the T10 recognised and none worked. From what I can tell you Need WMP 11

Hope this helps

By default, Windows does not include a DVD decoder (which is what you need to watch DVDs).
If you are using WMP10: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/plugins.aspx
If you are using WMP11:
http://savvybytes.com/2006/10/02/playing-dvds-with-windows-media-player-11/

Install the codec and you will be able to watch DVDs!

You probably have Winders Media Player 11. If you can find another computer that has WMP 10, you can use that computer to do the firmware upgrade, then go back to the original computer. Thingsa should work fine. Otherwise, you need to unistall WMP 11 and WMP11 runtime. Another case of Billy messing us up. And don't even get me started about vista....
